That Squirrel is adorable! It has a little pouch in it's tummy to put catnip in it. It has a strip of Velcro on each side to lock the catnip inside. The youngest one in my crew, went crazy over the plush toy. He even liked it without the catnip. He flipped that lifeless squirrel up in the air and did a little dance right before he caught him in mid-thrust. He flipped and he rolled with it. Gadz! It was as entertaining as heck. My partner and I looked lovingly on as Vladimir flipped and flew that toy across the room and chased after it. Cost of Plush Squirrel: $3.57 (Autoship). Entertainment Value: At least a Hundred Bucks.

I got this for one of my cats that enjoyed a raccoon version, but the raccoon had the stuffing in it, this one doesn't. I like that better, put some catnip in it

I got this for one of my cats that enjoyed a raccoon version, but the raccoon had the stuffing in it, this one doesn't. I like that better, put some catnip in it for him & he was immediately drawn to it. He was flipping it around in the air, carrying it to the top of her cat tree, dropping it on the ground and doing it all over again!! Definitely fun to watch him with this toy!

A pall fell upon the household the day Squirrel went missing. My cat’s daily routine of announcing the start of a new day with her favorite toy clenched her teeth was disrupted. No more finding Squirrel in the sink, on a bed, or dropped in a shoe. Despite a commando-crawl in every room, he could not be found. A Missing Toy notice taped to the side of the milk carton yielded nothing. Finally, on laundry day, he was discovered in the basket. He must have been tossed in the air during hard play (or he could be a flying squirrel), and my cat’s world was made right. This is a good and much loved toy.

Not all of my cats have taken an interest in this toy but the ones that do play with it love it! The pouch part has never opened while they’re playing with it and it comes with a good amount of catnip which is easy to refill. I will say that I thought this was more of a kicker sized toy so it’s smaller than I thought it’d be but that’s my fault for not reading the description and reviews

Tommy Loves It - The Others Don’t

My initial response was surprise at how small this was, thinking it would be closer to a kick-toy size. I filled it up with the included catnip expecting our three our five cats (the catnip fiends) to go crazy. But, two of them sniffed it and walked away. They haven’t been near it since. The two cats that don’t care for catnip never had any interest either. I tried putting a bell in it, that didn’t attract the four either. The good news is one of the five likes it and he gets the you all to himself. This photo is Tommy, sleeping on it after playing with it. Note: I thought it was cat puke a few times when I saw it on the floor, until I got used to it.

Catnip is easily refillable

I was hoping that my girl kitten (8 months) would get some enjoyment out of this but for some odd reason, she (and her brother) does not play with toys w/Catnip
