I wanted to love this item but...
I really wanted to love this item. But the bowls were too small, even for my four-pound Chihuahua. I found myself constantly having to refill the water bowl. Sometimes I felt like my dog went without water because of how small the bowl was. I'm going to wash and donate this item. I think that maybe this product is best for a very, very small puppy.
i would like to buy
I buy a lot of beds from chewy. I haven't had much luck lately. This bed is bulky and puffy in all the wrong spots. Puffy on the bottom in uneven spots due to how padding and stitching is done ,making it not comfortable to lie in. My dogs don't like it. One of my cats has been using it luckily.
Good but small
These bowls worked great when my dog was much smaller. The mat holds up to some digging but is not non-slip. The bowls themselves are pretty small. They only hold 0.5 cups which is no longer enough now that my dog is pushing 15 lbs. They were good for when he was a puppy though.
Puppy bowels
Great for my tiny baby who is 2.8lbs. She can eat and drink out of it just fine.
Don't leave unattended
We bought this before bringing home our puppy because our other bowls were too big. It's a great size for a puppy and worked fine for a bit; it didn't slide around or anything when he was eating or drinking. But he pretty quickly started playing with it - taking the bowls out, flipping around the silicon and chewing on it. We still thought it was safe for him to play around with it so we had left it in his pen, planning on switching to ceramic in a day or two, but before we could do that he actually managed to rip a hole in the bottom of one of the bowl holders in the silicon while we were working on separation training - we didn't realize he would be able to do that! He chewed the piece up and swallowed it before we could get to him, so we had to go to the emergency vet and get his stomach pumped. So if your puppy is a chewer, I wouldn't recommend this, and definitely don't leave it with them unattended!
Perfect size
Real nice! The size under the bowls catches all the spills! The bowls are real secure.
Controls Water Spills
Our cat would move her water dish all over and splash it on the floor. Problem solved!
A bit too flimsy
Not heavy enough to stay down, our puppy who is only 8 weeks old easily moves it trying to play
Just.get.it!
Easy to clean, spill proof dog bowl and silicone tray is the way to go for small to medium size doggos. I put a kitchen nylon wipe underneath since the bowls are sitting on my hardwood kitchen floor, but that would not be needed for tile or Vinyl floors. Just get it: it's a good deal, good value product.
Keeps things clean!
This bowl and mat set is great. It catches water spills and food. The removable bowls are easy. Such a great value.
