My terrier is losing teeth and eating seems harder for him so I decided to try out this slanted bowl. While I cannot speak for him, I think it makes it easier for him to empty the dish and it certainly looks easier to eat. Think of it: could YOU eat easily thrusting your face straight downward and swallowing UP? I am thinking of getting one for my other dog, just as a little gift. It's really well made and stable, easy to clean. Delighted!

My 15 year old Morkie, Daisy, has some issues being able to grab food out of the bowl b/c she is missing some teeth. This bowl lifted the bowl toward her and the food doesn't move around like it did in her flat bowl. It's easier for her to eat and there's less food on the floor. It's easy to clean si ce the bowl is removable. I plan to get another for Daisy's friend Taro, though she's only 4, so she can get the same experience. Try it for your furry friends. You'll love it
