Pieces are too long to sift

I wanted to like this because it in theory is half the price of other tofu litter. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this as a replacement for other brands because

I wanted to like this because it in theory is half the price of other tofu litter. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this as a replacement for other brands because the pieces are 2-3x as long as other brands, making it nearly impossible to sift. The grains are so long that they multiple grates on 2 different types of scoops, meaning you have to aggressively shake or sift, which results in broken clumps and more waste. If Chewy/Frisco processed this litter one more step and made it smaller, this would be a great product.

I think because it was too big and I think if it work better if the pieces were smaller, but you are literally hunting for poop in the box that's not been surrounded by litter anymore it's justraw poop and that was not what I was expecting, and there was dust not much but it was there and I was expecting it to be dustless.

Title is pretty much it... don't use a litter genie or auto box if you have tofu litter, take it straight to the trash like you otherwise would. The humidity will attract trauma for future you. On top of that though, my partner couldn't stand the smell and it really doesn't do anything to cover poop at all so I had to switch primarily back to clay. I wish that granulated tofu litter was far more common because these long pellets are really inconvenient and annoying in my opinion, plus the coverage is poor. I felt the smell was very tolerable for urine but NOT for poop because of that. My partner hated the smell at all times though so I dunno.

It is not working for Muffy

Muffy is a little terror. lol .She has to stay in a crate much of the time so my chow chow won't eat her. I have not found a solution to keep her from getting water

Muffy is a little terror. lol .She has to stay in a crate much of the time so my chow chow won't eat her. I have not found a solution to keep her from getting water on the crate floor. Then she tosses whatever litter we're using all over. I had partially melted tofu all over the bottom of the crate...a mess to clean up.

Great alternative besides pine pellets

so far I love it. Its not loud like the pine pellets when my cat digs around in it late night. It smells good like playdoh scent not strong at all. It clumps up

I was skeptical about this tofu litter. I though it might smell by reading other reviews but it actually has a faint pleasant odor. Even my husband commented the same. Clumps really well and is easy to change. Only con is because the pellets are really small my cats do track some throughout the house but not enough to be mad about.

It's so clean and tidy

I recently switched from clay to tofu then to this tofu and I'm delighted that I did. It's so clean and fresh and tidy. Zero tracking. I have a large area of wood

I recently switched from clay to tofu then to this tofu and I'm delighted that I did. It's so clean and fresh and tidy. Zero tracking. I have a large area of wood flooring near the litter box and it was a catch all for clay bits and dust. Now there is nothing there. It's a joy. Scooping it was a little weird at first but I've got it now. And it's far nicer than getting the head full of dust that scooping out the clay always gave me. Neither cat has any objection. It's the perfect litter as far as I'm concerned.

I've had cats my entire life, and I'm 56. I've been searching for the perfect litter forever...and this is it. Seriously. Sustainable. Natural. Extremely low to no dust. Almost ZERO tracking. Clumps extremely well, does not break apart of stick to litter box. It DOES have a light fragrance, but it's not overpowering. Aside from it being expensive, there is no downside to this litter. My husband and I agree that it's the best ever...which is why we're so disappointed that we will not be able to use it with our Litter Robot. We just switched over to LR, and they're phenomenal. However, they don't work with pelleted litters. If you're not using Litter Robot, I cannot recommend this litter highly enough.

STINKY!!

I purchase the unscented product thinking that is what it would be. Not so. This product smells terrible! Some type of putrid fruity scent. The two bags I opened for my litter box I dumped out after an hour because the smell did not dissipate. My suggestion if you are looking for unscented -don't buy this.
