Can the station be stained a different color?

The wood has a finish/ layer on it that will not take stain well.

I truly wanted to love this feeding station, it’s such a cute and clever idea, and the design is really appealing. Assembly was quick and easy, which I appreciated

I truly wanted to love this feeding station, it’s such a cute and clever idea, and the design is really appealing. Assembly was quick and easy, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, it just didn’t end up being the right fit for my cat, Puma. While it’s attractive, the wood felt a bit too lightweight and flimsy for me to feel confident mounting it on the wall, especially for a cat to climb onto. Puma is a frail senior, and I didn’t feel comfortable trusting it to safely support his weight. I imagine this could work much better for a kitten or a very small, agile cat. That said, it’s actually working great as a floor level food and water station. The bowls are practical, and Puma is happily using it that way. Overall, a sweet concept that just didn’t work out for our specific needs.

Quality cat feeding a perch with easy assembly.

I thought the assembly was really easy. All parts were well labeled and supplied. Directions were clear, simple and easy to follow. I like the weight of the product,

I thought the assembly was really easy. All parts were well labeled and supplied. Directions were clear, simple and easy to follow. I like the weight of the product, seems to hold up with medium cats. I would be a bit concerned about mounting this to the wall with the supplied drywall screws as they will not hold in my drywall. I would need longer, sturdier drywall screws. That being said I have a medium cat who is fat, so weight of the unit with the cat would be my only concern. I couldn't mount mine, due to the fact that we just moved in and we haven't installed all the shelving in our laundry room, so we didn't know exactly where this would go yet. I did mount it on the counter, with the backspash and it works great there and even allows for some under-storage, which is wonderful. Cat likes it, it doesn't jiggle around. It's just a tad too small for my cat, but he likes it and took to it easily. Love the stainless steel bowls. Great that they are not plastic. Once we get more settled I will mount this to the wall and see how the cat adapts.

Good to keep dogs out of cat’s food dish.

I have not been able to try this product because the location in which I thought I was going to put it, did not work. Pro’s about Frisco’s Wall Mounted Cat Feeding Station… Assembly was super easy. It does come with instructions. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. The assembly does allow you to choose whether you want the feeding dishes on the right or left of the assembly. The materials used are good quality and good value for the money. They provide you with anchors so that the whole assembly will not just destroy your wall. This would come in handy if you’re trying to keep dogs out of the cat’s dish. Also for cats that like their dishes up higher, so you don’t have to place it on your kitchen counter. Cons: Make sure that you have a good place to be able to put it up. I would have like to seen the padding to either be a bit thicker material. It’s sticks in place of the platform with Velcro. Which I don’t see the fabric lasting long or the Velcro holding for long. It would be cool to see the material be like the scratching post rope and glued. Over all I would recommend it. Especially for those who know DIY to make the platform material better and stronger. Will be update photos after the holidays and also give an update once my kitty is able to use it.

I have 3 kitties, 2 youngins, and one that is 16 yrs old. My little boy, Francis (seen in the pictures), is obsessed with dry food. He will come paw at me from across the house and then dart off to the kitchen where he rubs all over the food containers to ask for a snack. The old lady, Annabelle, has some health conditions and though she likes to eat dry food, it no longer agrees with her tummy. I had been trying to come up with an idea for allowing Francis to have a small serving of dry food where Annabelle cannot reach it because she has arthritis that keeps her from jumping too high. This feeding station provides a great solution to our problem! My fiancé put it together and mounted it to the wall for me, and he was immediately impressed with the product’s packaging. He mentioned how thoughtful it was for the manufacturer to attach the hardware to a piece of nylon twine that is attached to the box so it’s not easy to lose! He even took the picture for himself because he said, “every product with hardware should be packaged this way!” He also noted that if you’re putting it together, you should pay attention to the sticker on the shelf that tells you which side is up based on where you want the bowls, and that it was very easy to put together. This shelf is a good size for an average or small kitty (Francis is about 12 lbs), but I do not believe that it would accommodate a big or long kitty. I really like that it comes with stainless steel bowls because they are sturdy and easy to clean. I also like that the bowls are raised as I have been providing raised bowls for all of my kitties’ food and water since Annabelle’s arthritis has progressed.

I was impressed with the quality of the Frisco Wall Mounted Feeding Station. It was easy to assemble. The size was appropriate. However, neither of my cats would approach it. I made several attempts at adding their favorite food without success. I put their favorite treats around and on the station. Nothing, no interest at all. I gave up. I am sad, because it is a high quality and value.

This is a decent quality cat perch, and I like that it has food/water bowls. It was easy to assemble. The main issues I had with it is that to mount it, the preset holes are not the correct width for the standard distance between studs, so we had to add more holes in order for it to be sturdy enough. The provided hardware was not sufficient for my large cat, so if you have a cat on the larger side, this may pull out of the wall if you don't secure it with additional hardware. I like the design of it though but think it would work much better if it could be attached to a window sill for added support instead of just being connected to the wall.

This heavy duty wood shelf especially solves the problem of needing to separate our two cats at feeding time. Two stainless feeding bowls are included and fit into openings that keep the cat from knocking them off the shelf. I don’t miss chasing food bowls all over the floor or upended off the counter. There’s an included removable pad that attaches to the shelf with hook & loop strips. I took away one star because I’m not sure if this shelf is large enough to accommodate a really large cat, because the shelf holding the bowls makes the sitting area smaller. Be sure to check measurements when considering it. Cats that particularly like to climb would appreciate this.

With us having 3 cats we actually can’t have them all eat in the same area since one eats a lot faster (and tries to take the others food), he ended up using this, and them flipped the bowls out letting me know his bowl was empty. Our other two girls had no interest on jumping up to it. I think it will ultimately depend on your type of cat and if they are a ground dweller or a treetop type of cat!

Good quality, large enough

We have one cat who eats dry food and another one who cannot (not for lack of trying). We mounted the shelf high on the wall with the existing steps that Bubba uses

We have one cat who eats dry food and another one who cannot (not for lack of trying). We mounted the shelf high on the wall with the existing steps that Bubba uses to get on his cat tree (Layla cannot jump). The shelf seems sturdy and is large enough for Bubba. I like that it has the pad so he doesn't slide off. This gets his dry food off my kitchen counter and Layla still can't get to it. The other shelf we tried was cheap and way too small. I think this one will work out perfectly.

Good for high climbers

My cat loves being up on high shelves, windows, etc. so we thought this would work well for her and it did. The one thing I would say is a problem is she is a messy

My cat loves being up on high shelves, windows, etc. so we thought this would work well for her and it did. The one thing I would say is a problem is she is a messy eater. Some food falls as she eats so a little clean up is involved but for us, it’s not a deal breaker.
