So I purchased this because my lab puppy, Loki, likes to burrow and fluff up his bed and has put a hole in my Sr dog's orthopedic bed (yes I replaced that too). I got it in time to go to my daughter's place to dog sit her hound, Nugget. Nugget saw the bed and immediately got excited, I put it down and he jumped in, snuggled down, and growled at Loki, not allowing him in the bed. Loki loved the bed when he was allowed in it. After the long weekend I went to pack everything up and Nugget, who just recently left my house to live with my daughter, growled at me. So Nugget has a new bed and Loki is bedless at the moment.
Tried yet another donut dog bed for my beagle. This is the third and probably last. He only touched one bed once so gave both beds away. Ordered a larger size thinking I ordered the same fluffy bed as before. Obviously I did not. This bed is not furry it is hairy. The center is ‘bald’ with only a large zipper going from one end to the other. I added a snuggly blanket to cover the zipper. My dog would have none of it. He took the blanket out, tried out the bed momentarily and walked away. Another donation! Sad, because money is tight here and embarrassed to contact wonderful Chewy. Please know not snuggly fur and nothing soft where the dog is to sleep.
We have a 55-pound Bloodhound and a 65-pound Red Tick Coonhound. We purchased this bed in the size recommended on the website for dogs this size...I don't remember if that was M or L. It doesn't look very big, and I thought we might need a larger one, but I know it's supposed to be cozy so we decided to see what the dogs think. The Bloodhound hasn't shown I Teresa but the Coonhound LOVES it. He helped unpack it, then quickly started to play with it as if it was a large push toy. Ultimately, he settled into it snug as a bug. I think that out Bloodhound will eventually enjoy it also.
This is Olive’s 4th bed and I absolutely love it. She is a senior. I bought for bedroom so she does not have to keep hopping on bed to protect her senior legs. She crawled right into it and slept right away. She loves it. She is 55 lbs and I bought the jumbo so she has plenty of extra room. It is fluffy and comfortable for large dogs with plenty of room like a bed. It is made well. I would highly recommended this. Soft, and snuggly
My dogs literally used this bed one time. There was some loose stitching and well, you can see what happened next. They pulled it apart in less than 60 seconds and while they were naughty, this has never happened to me with other beds. Such a bummer because it is pretty pricey for something that can be pulled apart that quickly
I recently purchased the jumbo size for my senior yellow lab. She has arthritis and I wanted something soft and comfy for her to lay in. She LOVES it! She has other beds but I have a feeling she won't be using them anymore. Our other, smaller dog loves it too and they take turns using it. I've decided to purchase another one, so they won't have to share. It's so soft!!
My 42 lb dog really enjoys her large, taupe bed. She is only one year old and super active, however, I’ve noticed that she likes to stay in bed in the morning because she is so comfortable. She burrows down into the edges and plays hide and seek with her ‘hidden’ bones. A good investment and she agrees.
Better than I could hope for. Just moved from a log cabin to a condominium. Rontu spent all six years of his life on a large wooded yard to a small condominium. He developed separation anxiety. I was hoping that this bed would help Rontu relax in the house . He loves the bed and along with other training he is doing much better. Just one tool but glad I bought the bed. He took to it better than I had hoped.
The bed IS soft. I bought 3 small because I have 3 dogs under 15#. They are outside a lot and thought the washing option would be a good thing. The washing instructions for the beds ARE NOT for the small beds. There are no zippers, quite deceiving I hope they will hold up when it comes time to wash them. I would recommend these but with warnings.
Super cool bed for my medium size Aussie mix. He loves curling up in it. My pup is 8 months old and still a happy chewer. He ripped a hole in the furry cover in a matter of minutes. The fur cover was just too tempting. I put the bed up for now and will reintroduce it when he is older. Ended up purchasing a “less likely to be chewed” bed with a shorter pile and no zipper to naw on.
