How does this protect your dog from an accident, if they are allowed enough length to move about the back seat? We have tiny dogs.

We recommend this item be used with a harness on the dog for maximum support/safety, which should keep your pet nice and secure. As for length/range of movement, that would depend on the leash attached to the seatbelt clip, but you probably won’t want to use too long of a leash.

Very short

The quality is good but even at the most extended, it barely allows enough room for my medium sized dog to stand up. Would be better for smaller pups.

Cheap belt to keep our dog safe in the car

So.....not sure if it's just our dog but as he's gotten heavier he's now able to release himself! One minute he's in the back and the next he's riding front seat

So.....not sure if it's just our dog but as he's gotten heavier he's now able to release himself! One minute he's in the back and the next he's riding front seat passenger!! I can only assume that he's heavier now so his weight is enough to push the seatbelt release button down. (He's a 60lb pitbull pup) Probably more suitable for smaller dogs.
