Dremel 7760-PGK
By kdog on Apr 4, 2021
I really can not rate the tool, because even though I tried to slowly introduce her to it, She did not like the vibration. On the third day I decided I would go ahead and try to use it on her nails and she wanted nothing to do with it. She was shaking and I was shaking making us both nervous wrecks. So I decided it was not worth trying to save myself the visit to the groomer. I then sent an email to Chewy and they immediately refunded my money and said they were sorry that this did not work out for me pup. Customer service through Chewy is outstanding!

For large dogs
By Sabrina on Mar 14, 2021
I bought this item for my Pomeranian and mini macaw bird. The tool is not slender enough for manipulation. Also it seems geared more towards large dog breeds and not for my smaller animals. My son had success turning the tool around to have my bird's toe rest on the opposite side they suggest. When I initially used it on my dog the disc flew off and if the plastic cover wouldn't have been on, a serious injury would have occurred. Would not recommend for small breeds.

Great tool!
By Jenn on Mar 19, 2021
My dogs never enjoyed getting their nails clipped and I hated doing it because I was always afraid of nicking them. Especially dark nails where you cannot see the quick. I introduced it slowly with treats and they all love this dremel! It has completely taken the drama out of nail care and I use it on them weekly for maintenance. I use this on small, medium, and large dogs at the lowest setting and it works great.

LOVE IT!!!
By 1234 on Mar 7, 2021
I tried almost every clipper for my GSD’s thick hard nails and they only caused him pain and me distress. I’ve had this product for almost a year and I love it! It’s quick easy and painless and still works beautifully. I use it on my Boxer’s small thin nails too. My only complaints are the location of the lock button which I’ve hit accidentally a few times and the fact I can’t get replacement pads from Chewy but those are minor. I’ll never go back to clippers again.

Great! Definitely recommend!
By makrae on Mar 31, 2021
Works great! I have years of experience using a dremel on dog nails in a veterinary practice and I love this product. Even works great on the thick nails of my Lab/Dane mix. I always trim first and then use the dremel to get closer to the quick and smooth out sharp edges.

Nice Nail Trimmer
By RickR on Feb 7, 2021
Have a very large Labrador, 140 pounds. Nails were quite thick and large diameter. Had purchased a smaller battery powered nail grinder, Bell and Howell and it was over whelmed. It flat did not have the power to grind nails down. It bogged it self down, So I purchased the Dremel # 7760, in a word it works great. Grinds the large thick nails down effectively. I like the 60 grit drum grinder tool. Remember there is a preferred angle to apply to nail to to effect best cutting technique. You will have to experiment. But once you figure out best effective angle to use, the nail goes right down into powder. Caution to remember to not overheat from the friction and cause pain for pet. Truth be known the wood working Dremel would likely work just as well, plus you could use it around the house. On various other tasks. Tool is multi speed, I use the higher speed, one step down from highest. And is quite aggressive on the large thick nails. … more

It really worked!
By AmyLea on Mar 8, 2021
I followed the advise of the manufacturer and let my Pom smell and check out the drill first. When we used the drill she was amazingly calm and we were safely able to make her sharp scratchy nails into shorter smoother ones without scaring her. This product will pay for itself in a matter of weeks.

Nail trimmer
By Gracie on Mar 12, 2021
This works very well. My dog has very thick nails and a cutter is out of the question. I have to take her to the vet and have her sedated to trim her nails. I used this Dremel , she is not afraid of it and it grinds/sands her nails quickly.

Awesome Product for the Fearful
By fearfultrimmer on Jan 20, 2021
Given the pandemic and needing to find an alternative option to nail clippers, I researched several different options and am happy that I decided to give this a try. Prior to Covid-19, I always opted to bring him to the groomers to save myself the heartache of doing it myself. My senior dog has very thick nails and my fear of hurting him, probably only made it worse. Likewise, I was worried that he would be scared of the sound as it is louder than I was hoping, but it is only a mild issue for him. I start it on the lowest setting and gradually build up the speed as he adjusts to the fact that it's going to happen regardless, lol. Don't worry he's a baby and so am I, but with weeks/months Given the pandemic and needing to find an alternative option to nail clippers, I researched several different options and am happy that I decided to give this a try. Currently, we are working on decreasing the size of his kwik(s), so we are only doing a little at a time until we get him to the point he needs to be. We have had three sessions now and we are both adjusting just fine. I wish I would have researched options for us years ago, as this is a painless task overall! If you are fearful like me, this just might be the product for you. I would recommend googling how to identify the kwik in a dogs nail and YouTubing this product for a better demonstration on how to use this product and safely cut nails to minimize your fear factor. With that said, I never would have thought that nail trimming would be something that I would feel confident doing, but this product makes it that easy! I am a happy with this purchase! … more

Excellent Tool
By TerrierMom on Feb 12, 2021 top500Contributor
This is an excellent tool. I love the multi-speed modes. My Cane Corso became accustomed to it quickly and it’s much easier to get a good trim with this than the clippers. I also have less of a worry of nicking her quicks. This tool makes the job so simple and quick.
