almost there
By Roxanne on Dec 28, 2020
I ordered this twice, thinking I had first received a dud, but no. The alignment on this product is off. The attachment does not sit flush with the sanding band, nor does the cap go all the way down as a result. I don’t feel safe using the sanding band with my grinding-averse pups when this issue exists. It works fine, despite this, but won’t work for me.

Awesome for nails
By SeniorDog on Dec 7, 2020
I have been researching which pet nail grinder actually works and is worth the money... well, this Dremel product is worth every penny! My dog is 9 and has a fear of getting his nails cut because he has had his quick cut a couple of times. :( He was not a fan of the noise and grinding at first, but I bribed him along the process with treats and it was all good! It's so easy to use and works wonderfully. Without the guard, the nail dust would be everywhere! Smells a bit horrendous but that's to be expected when grinding down nails! If you're debating on whether or not to get this... make the choice and get it! You will not be disappointed.

Pet nail tool / dremel
By Frankie on Jan 4, 2021
The dremel/pet nail tool is a great addition to myself and my pet's wellbeing it's so much easier for me to use as opposed to the old awkward caveman ways using our hand held clippers of the past. AWESOME PURCHASE. Frankie P

Such a stress saver!
By JDMG on Nov 27, 2020
Cutting nails is my least favorite part of having a fur baby. I'm always afraid I'm going to hurt them. This Dremel has made such a difference! She doesn't mind the Dremel at all. It is so quiet and the vibration so low, that my little 9lb dog had no problems...after I introduced it to her over a few days, WITHOUT touching her nails. She has all black nails, but 1, and dew claws. The latter being impossible to trim with cutters. When we were finally ready to try the Dremel, after intros, I used knee high panty hose to keep her fur away, poked the nail thru (or cut tiny notch to poke nail thru), and just touched each nail for a millisecond. The next day, I did it a little longer. The next Cutting nails is my least favorite part of having a fur baby. I'm always afraid I'm going to hurt them. This Dremel has made such a difference! When we were finally ready to try the Dremel, after intros, I used knee high panty hose to keep her fur away, poked the nail thru (or cut tiny notch to poke nail thru), and just touched each nail for a millisecond. The next day, I did it a little longer. The next, a little longer again. I never went too many seconds as I didn't want it to get hot on her nail - so it was lots of on/off per nail. This last time when I was able to do more on her nails, I sanded off the tip of the panty hose on her nail for a millisecond to get the nail thru. I do have to hold the panty hose tight throughout trimming, and I brace her nail with my finger, so this may be easier with 2 people for longer haired dogs. I don't know if I'm angling her nail correctly, as she's so tiny, that the last time I think I did it backward to be able reach the disk (with the nail going into the opening from the short/flat side). That is one reason for 4 vs 5 stars. The other reason is the Note below. It is slow going, but I'm also still getting used to sanding. I'm still giving her a small treat after each nail. I am SO glad I got a nail sander, and Dremel brand in particular. I do wish there was a bag or something to keep all pieces together, other than the box it comes in that holds all the booklets/instructions. When I called Dremel with questions, they were extremely helpful. (Note: per reviews and Dremel themselves, the clear Guard does not work on slot 3...it's too close to the sanding disk.) I am receiving a free accessory pack from Dremel in exchange for my honest review. … more

By far the best nail grinder out there.
By JohntheBullyOwner on Sep 26, 2020
I've tried them all and I usually had to spend at least 45 minutes to grind all of my Bully's nails down all while rubbing is tummy so he'd stay still for his 'pawsicure'. I busted out the Dremel today and I was done will all 4 paws in the span of 8 minutes!!! 8 Minutes. Plus it was way quieter than my other nail grinder. The instructions were clear and this bad boy is study. I highly recommend this product!

Better than other grinders!
By PrimsHuman on Nov 1, 2020
This was much more powerful than the other grinder I had which is a big plus. My only complaint is that my dogs are very small and separating each toe to get it into the grinder opening can be difficult. I am receiving a free accessory pack from Dremel in exchange for my honest review.

So much easier for us than using a nail clipper. Our three dogs don't fidget while we use the Dremel. What a relief!

Surprisingly awesome and non-expensive
By KingsMom on Oct 12, 2020
I have always been impressed with chewys fast delivery, accurate updates, and low prices. I bought this dremmel in hopes that its would solve my problem and it did. My dog hasn't willingly let me cut his nails since I got him. He just slept rite through it. Definitely worth the price!
