This does not have a cooling feature. However, the egg-crate foam base relieves aching joints, prevents painful pressure points.

Would you recommend the Large or Jumbo for a standard adult-sized German Shepherd?

We recommend measuring your pet to find the perfect bed size. Pets who curl up to sleep can fit on a smaller bed, while pets who stretch out need a larger bed. To determine the ideal bed length, measure your pet in his or her normal sleeping position, then add 4-6 inches for cats and small dogs, or 8-12 inches for medium to large dogs. When in doubt, we suggest ordering the bigger size.

What is the weight limit in a large or Jumbo bed?

The Large bed is for dogs up to 55 pounds, and the Jumbo bed is for dogs weighing up to 95 pounds.

Senior comfort

We have purchased this bed three times; not because it wears out but because it is that nice. We have taken it on our travels and gifted it to our hosts because

We have purchased this bed three times; not because it wears out but because it is that nice. We have taken it on our travels and gifted it to our hosts because their dogs have fallen for it too. Our 12 year old lab, has a much more expensive memory foam bed but continues to prefer this bed. We aren't sure if it is the foam, the cover or the bolster configuration but it provides him with the comfort he is seeking and we are happy to oblige. The washable cover and removable bolster are a big plus when it comes to cleaning. It looks good after multiple washes and we don't hesitate to leave it in our main living space when entertaining.

The fabric cover for this bed is nice. It isn't too thick so it will definitely be easy to wash. The bed was also very easy to put together. Unfortunately, I wouldn't consider this "jumbo" but probably just a regular large. My dog is about the size of a big lab or normal German shepherd. Also, the foam insert for the bottom is flimsy and doesn't offer much support at all. I wouldn't consider this "deluxe" or orthopedic.

Smaller than the same one I bought last time

I was disappointed with it once I got it all unwrapped out of the plastic and box as it wasn't as large and as full as the one I bought 5 years ago that looked exactly

I was disappointed with it once I got it all unwrapped out of the plastic and box as it wasn't as large and as full as the one I bought 5 years ago that looked exactly the same from the same company I got before. It didn't measure up to what it said the measurements were but of course once you get it out of the box there is no getting it back in. I hope my Belle is still happy with it as it is still less smelly and newer than her old one. Next time I will just buy one from a store I go into.

It’s a nice bed and they both seem to like them. I bought them to put in a dog run in our garage. We have a caregiver that comes to the house and they have to go there while she is here. Our 1 dog is very protective of my husband who has dementia. They are working out great, I was just surprised at the weight of the material but they seem to holding up. The fabric doesn’t seem durable but they are still good as new even with the dogs spending 15 hours a week on them. Gives me piece of mind that they have something to cuddle upon.

My 70lb Golden Retriever LOVES this bed. We needed a new one for her crate (her younger sister destroyed her other bed). Laila stretches out, sleeps upside down and Loves it. Even though we keep her crate for open, she has always used it for naps and bedtime. Now she doesn't want to get up in the mornings! So, I would highly recommend this bed.

Our last one was all memory foam and very comfy. I am going to donate the new one to a shelter. I offered them the old one so I don’t want to not give them anything. Also not as thick as old.

I bought this size because I had a smaller one from chewy for my 2 5month old aussies, they fit in the smaller one (which was size large) but barley. so i didn't go by weight i went by the dimensions of seating surface not the "entire" bed length and man LOL the jumbo plus is HUGE! The phot is for reference in size, i did buy 2 but i will have to wait until they are bigger as they both fit perfectly fine in 1. 2 photos are for reference of smaller bed (which i now moved into their cage as they like it better then the kong pad)
