such a bummer
I am so disappointed in this company. I’ve owned probably 5 or 6 Furhaven beds now. The quality has gone down astronomically, as well as the size! My dog has a brown version of this exact bed, ordered in November of 2022.. he “nests” so the fur gets scratched up after so long. No biggie, I replace. I opted for a different color & am absolutely shocked at the quality of this bed compared to the exact same bed I purchased less than a year ago. This bed is significantly thinner & smaller! If I had known it was going to be smaller, despite being the same size as the last one I ordered, I would have gone a size up. This is absolutely ridiculous & I wish I hadn’t spent the money on this bed or this company, as they clearly no longer are putting out quality products.
Smaller than expected
This bed is smaller than it seems. I only looked at the length which was the size that I wanted, but I didn't realize how small the width was. I would have returned it, but for some reason my dog peed all over it the minute we put it on the floor for him to try out. We stuck it out, but there has to be something with the filling because after washing and cleaning, he continues to pee on it every day. Unfortunately we will have to find something else.
Love this bed
I bought this bed for my old Chiweenie .She is almost 14 years old. Recently ,she lost the use of her hind legs. So she wasn't sleeping very good in her old worn out bed. So when this bed showed up at our door, I put my dog on it and she snuggled down and went right to sleep. I am going to say that she loves the bed. And I think that it is good quality for the cost.
FurHaven Bed
This is a replacement bed, same size and style as our previous purchases. It is a good deal at the sale price and the dogs (4 large breed) do use it daily. Be aware that the "orthopedic support" comes from egg-carton foam only. It will flatten! In addition, the plush surface will not stand up to serious digging or scratching...the fluff pulls out. Finally, the bottom plastic rubbery material will disintegrate and peel after several washings. With all that said, we purchased the same bed more than once. It is a perfect size and shape for our kitchen, where the dogs like to hang out with the family. It is not their primary sleeping area (for that we have a much more expensive, multi-layer orthopedic mattress) and it is not exposed to a lot of outside dirt or muddy paws (so a monthly wash is more than adequate) We know that we will replace it routinely but for our usage and its price, that is not a problem.
Beat dog bed ever!
We have had this bed for about 1 1/2 yrs, our dog loves this bed and all our grand puppies love it too. Very well made, easy to wash and is truly the best bed we have ever bought for our fur babies!
Ripped After First Wash
I bought a few weeks ago so the bed is still brand new. We had a small accident and needed to wash the cover. I followed the washing instructions and the lining under the zipper ripped open. If this was after the first ever wash, I’m not sure what else will deteriorate if having to do it again. For the price I’m disappointed the material didn’t withstand a month.
NOT Like the Picture
It was easy to see as you were assembling this yourself, that the bottom pad is an inch deep. The picture makes it look like 3 inches. The covering does not fit properly, which leaves many wrinkles which cause bed sores. Very dissatisfied.
Full Support Orthopedic Sofa Bed
We have two retired greyhounds, Albert & Elvis. They each have a Furhaven orthopedic bed because they are seniors, respectively 13 & 11. I’ve washed the older bed several times with no problem. However, after fluffing the cover for this bed in the dryer & hanging it to dry it no longer fit over the foam fill. The dogs love both these beds. I was prepared to order another & just eat the expense. Our older pup has dementia & I didn’t want to elevate his anxiety by adding anything different to his environment. The customer service person told me there would be no charge for the replacement. She was very helpful & said the bed will arrive in a few days. I am a grateful & confirmed Chewy customer!
Comfy landing spot
She loves her new bed. She didn't spend a lot of time in her old one but this one is a winner. She will grow into! It will be so much easier clean too.
Disappointed
I purchased 2 beds. Neither one of my dogs liked them. They are thin flat foam. Poor quality.
