How would a shampoo prevent a dog from shedding opposed to using the FURminator brush? Is one more success than the other or should they both be used together?

We have a English Bulldog and I’ve never had a dog that sheds this much. Is this the product you recommend or is there a better one for his breed?

It has been specially formulated to help eliminate odors, provide relief for pet's with itchy skin, bring out the natural shine in light and dull color coats, release tangles in long coats or moisturize the skin and coat with frequent bathing.

The ingredients are Water, Mild Surfactants, Omega 3 & 6 Fatty Acids from Cranberry, Sunflower and Safflower Seed Oils, Extracts of Calendula, Papaya Leaf, Chamomile, Malva Flower, Blueberry, Aloe Vera and Kava, Vitamin E, Vegetable Protein Extract, Hydrolyzed Wheat and Oat Proteins, Fragrance, Preservative and Salt.

Is it ok if you get it in dogs eyes..Does it irritate dogs eyes.

It's recommended to avoid contact with eyes. If irritation develops, discontinue use and consult your veterinarian.

This WORKS

I love using this on our doggos. We have a short hair pocket pittie and a medium hair, double coated herding dog who we like to nickname Pigpen from the Charlie

I love using this on our doggos. We have a short hair pocket pittie and a medium hair, double coated herding dog who we like to nickname Pigpen from the Charlie Brown cartoon because of how dusty this dog is allllll the time! This shampoo works on both of them wonderfully. It helps with the shedding and that weird white stuff that gathers on your fingers when you absentmindedly pet your doggo for a few minutes... lol Just make sure to bathe regularly!

Worked but caused dermatitis

Worked with helping to deshed, but caused a dermatitis flare up. My dog does have slightly sensitive skin (hence the 3 stars instead of 2), so avoid this shampoo

Highly recommend!

This product absolutely works! We tried it once and thought it was a bit expensive, so we tried 3 other slightly cheaper brands and our dog kept shedding like crazy

Finally, we went back to this brand and bought the gallon! Lol we'll never go back to anything else. HUGE difference in the shedding! Greatly reduced! Definitely works better than anything else we've tried!

dont buy from these thieves

I bought a gallon of deshedding conditione, ther was a product recall, I was told to not use it.....it cost over $70, they made me jump through hoops, take pics,

I bought a gallon of deshedding conditione, ther was a product recall, I was told to not use it.....it cost over $70, they made me jump through hoops, take pics, send this, send that.....then they said I would be refunded....more of the same ensued and they agreed finally to send a check....I never received it, months more went buy, the agrred to re-send check......I never recieved it, same thing happened again, I never recived the check and they said it was sent in May 2025......wrong, I have USPS mail delivery alerts, and have for years, they never sent a check.......dont buy from them......

Shipping Failure

The Chewy Shipping Department needs to do a better job when shipping liquid products. This 64-oz bottle of shampoo had a broken top and was leaking inside the box

They product themselves are great. I probably.wont order it from chewy again because I only got one and a half pumps to get the product out of the bottle. I needed

I needed 4, because I had 4 different bottles. Anywhere else sends one/ bottle. And, I only have 1 because the straw that attaches to the pump is missing from the second one. Lame. Thay was a high dollar order and I have to buy pumps that should have been included.
