Great for Deshedding, but Could be Better Quality Construction
This brush really gets the job done. In just a few strokes there is plenty of hair taken off my cat, which is great because he does not like to be brushed (especially not for long). However, the piece that pushes the hair out of the teeth of the brush gets stuck and is difficult to push back into its resting position. If that part worked better, which is really the only moving piece of the brush, this would be getting five stars. I have multiple different FURminator brushes for my various animals and find they work the best for removing hair. So, despite this poor construction of this piece of this tool, I will likely continue to go with this brand and recommend it to others. Just know, with this one, you will likely be fighting with the hair removal part.
Do yourself and cat a favor- get the FURminator!
I have a 16 lb male Himalayan/ragdoll/something who is an amazing cat, but sheds a lot. I should have purchased the FURminator sooner, because it works wonders. After four brush strokes, I have enough fur to start making a sweater! In all seriousness, my kitty started purring immediately upon using this tool and his coat looks amazing. I would highly recommend this if you want to save money and not bring your cat to the groomer. Of course there are some not so comfortable areas where my cat doesn’t love the FURminator, but overall it works well to keep his shedding under control and have him feel and look like a cat who has weekly spa treatments. Personal tip: I use a 32 oz yogurt container to collect the fur during deshedding sessions. It’s amazing to see how much it works!
how did I go this long?!
Wow, just wow. I was trying to resolve my 1yr olds excessive shedding like hair constantly floofing off of him and although the price stung a little, I read the reviews and took the leap. Well it paid off. The amount of hair I got off of my 1yr old was incredible. I’ve never seen a cat love to be pet as much as him and I wonder if he has just been itchy and uncomfy from so much undercoat. I’m looking forward to seeing how much of a reduction in fur balls we will see but for now I’ll settle for the fact that Pepper and Jack are lining up to be brushed with this thing.

If you need a reason to buy this product, here is your reason. This product absolutely pulls every lose hair off your pet. I mean I had fur coming off in sheets off my cat. It's a very comfortable product for your pet too! My cat let me hold his face, legs, butt,etc to make sure I brushed every single spot on him and was in absolute bliss with it. Overall pets love it, I love it, and no more shedding hair all over the house. Well worth your money!

I was hesitant to buy this because of the price but omg I’m so glad I did. I’ve tried almost ten different brushes and none of help with my girl’s shedding. But after TWO days of brushing with this thing I have a hair ball that’s almost as big as her!! This brush is worth every penny and then some. Plus my cat loves how it feels. 10/10 !!!!
So worth the money!
I truly never write reviews, but I usually trust those reviewers the most. Our cat was shedding more than usual and got her first couple hairballs, so we did some serious research for a good deshedding brush for short haired cats. This one seemed a bit pricey, but after reading the previous reviews we wanted to try it. It works great! The brush immediately picked up hair that our previous brush missed and didn't get a bunch of fur in the air like our other metal brushes. Our cats love it, and we plan to use it every day to keep their fur healthy.

After reading many reviews, I decided to invest in this deshedder, and I am SOOOO glad I did! After brushing my 3 cats (just once!) I had just about enough hair to build another cat! I have tried other combs, but they all hated them. They actually LIKE this one and let me keep brushing! I am SOOO glad I decided to spend more to get better quality!
Furminator
I hesitated on the price, but it’s so worth it. All my cats are short hair but shedding still a problem. This tool does the job and even my cats that don’t like to be brushed love it. It’s hard to get them to stand still when I’m using it.
Worth the money
I can't believe how much shed fur comes off my cats with this tool. Nothing else I've tried even comes close! As much grumbling as I made about spending over $30 for a brush, I've got to say it was money well spent. In fact, I'm thinking about getting the one for long haired cats too, as one of ours has a very thick coat and this one doesn't quite get there for him. Still an awesome purchase, wish I'd known about these sooner.
Absolutely Amazing!
Wow! I swear I have an entirely new cat after I combed her with this. I knew the Fulminator's worked well on our dogs so I knew this had to have the same effect on our cat and boy I was very pleased. Easy release of the hair and it gets down in that undercoat to get all the hair. No need to look any where else, you just need this brush- however, I should let it be known that we have a short hair domestic cat, I am unsure how it works on long haired or other breeds of cats.
