works great!!
it's pretty expensive for a brush but it was so worth it. my cat is an american short hair and she started getting some intense dandruff due to not being able to reach her back properly. the normal brush couldn't get all the dead hair back there but now she's doing great!!
like i said definitely expensive but if you really need it, it's super worth it. the picture is all i could brush before she was over it but definitely got more than i tried getting with the normal brush.

Excellent for My long haired cat
First learned of this tool at the Shelter I Volunteer at. Used it on a couple different cats, short & long haired. Works Amazingly to remove undercoat on Both lengths! It can really change the appearance of the coat from dull to bright! I purchased this for the Senior Kitty I recently adopted. He is long haired. His coat gets brushed daily with a regular brush & weekly I used the FURminator. His coat is super soft now. Still has a good amt. of undercoat, but I'm just taking my time to get him used to it. It is VERY IMPORTANT to USE WEEKLY, NOT FOR DAILY USE. Technique matters as well! Make sure you READ the INSTRUCTIONS! Love that it has a guard to protect the teeth. Awesome tool & well made! Worth the investment!

I don't write reviews but felt like I had to for this product. Works great. Cos and kokoleka were having a hard time with hairballs. I brushed them every day and was using a flea comb to get at problem areas. This deshedder cleaned all the old hair out. The cats are happier. They look so much better and both cats enjoyed the brushing. I highly recommend this product for cats with hairball issues and heavy shedding.

So effective!
This brush is amazing. My short hair cat had only ever been brushed with a slicker brush, which he never tolerated. He actually enjoys being brushed with this furminator brush and I look forward to it to because it really does a great job of removing loose hair. Looking forward to less hairballs in the future and my cat's coat is so smooth now!
Fur Shedding Tool
This tool works wonders in releasing the excess fur. Gently comb through in short strokes. But best to do it outside. The fur doesn’t stick to the comb and will be released all around you, However, I expected this and try to grab as much released fur before it drifts away. It has really controlled my kittens shedding all over the house.
Worth the Price
Spending over $30 for a cat brush isn’t really something I was fond of but my senior kitty has become less tolerant of brushing. She still allows it but only for a small amount of time. Her shedding was getting out of hand so I took the plunge. It’s a great tool, gets a lot of hair in less time. Also the hair doesn’t fly around as much as it does with a regular brush making it much easier on my allergies. My girl looks and feels better than she has in awhile.
My cats love it!
Edith and Esther both really enjoy being brushed with the Furminator. They are about 10lbs each and what seem like a "medium cat" size to me and the small works well. They like it on the tops of their heads, and the small fits easily between their ears, the large may not have. Hoping they will have fewer fur-balls with regular use - based on the amount of undercoat that has come out, I think they must be ingesting less fur!
Great Deshedding Tool
I had my doubts with previous combs and brush experiences however this has met and pushed beyond my expectations. My cats actually enjoy the process and are not as scared of the brush. They really enjoy brushing around the neck and back of the head.
Great at getting out clumps of für and loosing shed hair. Only complaint is that sometimes the tool doesn’t hold onto the hair very well, and the hair puffs into little hairballs that go flying all over the place. Ideally; you may want to using thing in an area you don’t mind getting shed all over before cleanup.
Works Wonders
This tool works better than anything I have used before to remove loose fur and my cats seem to like it. It really gets everything! I took one star off because the little part that’s supposed to clear the hair out after you brush doesn’t work. It’s easy enough to just clear it out manually.

Older model better
I have one of these from many years ago and my Mom told me she replaces hers occasionally as the teeth get dull. This newer model design is significantly not as effective as the old and I'm going to keep using my older model. Wasted money.
