Simply Pawsome!
I needed a storage container for my pup’s kibble and chose this one based on the ingenious design of the lid that twists on like that of a jar versus one that latches. I get ants every year during the warmer months, and this storage container safely keeps the kibble and treats ant free, with the added bonus of keeping the kibble extra fresh, as in newly opened bag fresh! The quality is superb, it should never need to be replaced so that’s something to consider as well. During the colder months I get mice, and so far this has kept all of the all of the household pests out of the food & treats!
Pests chewed through top, but Chewy customer service was stellar!
Alas, I believed the description that this food storage vault keeps pests out. Within a few days of purchase, I found a hole in the top and bits of plastic all around. I suspect this is a fine product for pet vittles inside your home, but it cannot be stored anywhere where mice might get in (such as "barn, porch or garage" as stated in the product description). That said, the refund was seamless and once again, Chewy shines for its friendly and efficient customer service!

Ok so this vault is awesome but a something I don’t take in to account one it’s 50 pounds of weight in the container once food goes in with no wheels or anything so it’s not ideal if u got to pull it out of a closet I store mine in my cabinet and still lugging it around so just something I realize in my purchase of this vault but on the good note the dog food stays so fresh so much longer then in the bag they sell so it’s worth it 100%
Actually holds 50lbs.
I was very skeptical about the fact it would actually hold 50lbs of kibble. And having 3 dogs i wasn't willing to buy smaller bags. But my newest addition Baby Raptor (bandit) had recently discovered where i stored the food and was trying to break into the container. So this design is what intrigued me i will say i LOVE them, and he has knocked it over and nothing still in perfect shape. I also purchased one for cat food and they stack nicely on top of each other! Great product i highly recommend. Not made cheaply either like other food holders.
Best wine fermenter ever.
These make amazing primary fermenters. The large ones can easily hold 15 gallons of wine must, and they seal well enough to keep bugs out, but still allow gas to escape - no need to drill for an airlock. When you're not fermenting, use them to store your winemaking gear.
Made in USA, good quality, holds stated weight of my dog's food
I would like to give this sturdy, made in USA, container a five-star review but I am not (I wish there was a 4 1/2 star option) just because it is not always easy to get the lid lined up just right to close smoothly and snugly on the first try. I buy my dog food in 40# bags but it appears that this would hold 50# of the brand I feed (some reviewers have said that the stated capacities are a bit small for some bulkier kibbles). It had a bit of an off smell when I got it but I washed it and aired it out, and that "new container" odor was gone.

We love these containers in all the sizes for storing our pets dry foods and treats they close with a twist on keeping the hairy little thieves from stealing their food when you’re not in the room. Easy to clean.
GREAT STORAGE OPTION!
I bought this years ago and it’s still being used six/seven years later! I love that it can hold so much food for my cats to not be able to get into. I stock pile cat food and love having this filled up to last six months for my four cats and it comes with a scoop so I can scoop out the food they need. I ended up giving this to my dad when I changed storage options, and he loves this just as much as I did! I only changed since I needed different storage containers for my cats which eat different types of cat food.

I ordered the 50lb container even though I only use 18lb bags of food. It fits the food in the bag, plus the scoop and several boxes of open treats. Very glad I ordered the bigger container so all open treats and food are together in it.

Really nice! We have the same container that we bought four years ago and it’s great still! The new one is very similar but it has an updated seal that makes it even better.
