We recommend thoroughly washing and drying your Vittles Vault container regularly. Over time, oils absorb into the plastic, which can cause food to become rancid. When that happens, your furry friend won't want to eat it.
Use a dry-erase marker to personalize your lid sticker with your pet's name, feeding instructions or the date your pet food bag was opened.

We've had this storage container for a few weeks now, holding up to the bully. Definitely impressed with the ability to keep our dogs food fresh and holds in the smell very well, you couldn't tell we used the storage closet for the dog food unless you asked what was in the container. We bought the biggest container and it fits a 40 lb bag of food perfectly with more room to spare, possibly fitting another half bag. Atleast. Would definitely buy a second if needed, however I feel this will be lasting us quite some time.
I bought two of these 40 pound containers because I’ve heard good things about them. After receiving mine and filling them up, I found out quickly that they are not stackable like stated. They are extremely unsteady and wobbly and i will not risk the safety of my pups by stacking them. A simple nudge and 40 pounds will absolutely crush one of smaller pets. Definitely bummed out but they do still hold the dog food well.
Although we have only had the product for about a week, we love it! Our dog eats a high protein diet, and the smell is very strong; this container traps that smell! We used to have to store the food in an unused area due to the lingering smell, but now we have it with our other supplies which is very convenient! The screw top lid is nice, but my only poor comment is that the lid does not go on very easily, and it just keeps spinning. Overall, I would recommend this product, and it is worth every bit of the price! I would recommend buying this as one of your first products when getting a puppy, because once you buy this you will not have to buy any other storage containers! For reference, we buy 50lb bags, and we were able to barely fit it into the 60lb storage container! I am not sure if this is because the 60lb storage is stackable so the shape is a little bit different, but because I keep the food in the bag, it can be a little bit harder to fit the food in!
I purchased two. One is fine. The other has ripped close to the lid area. I only purchased this brand because of the stacking ability and because the larger size that’s stackable was super easy to screw on and off the lid. This size and the verticals ones, the lids are hard to work with. From getting the lid to seat to just trying to turn the lid and get it to seal evenly. I’m not weak by any means but it’s frustrating to work with. The containers have never been exposed to elements or extreme temps. The other containers of this brand appear to be holding up fine.
I had 2 of these, just ordered a 3rd because got a new dog. The first 2 were wonderful and both came with a scoop. The one I just ordered seems to show manufacturing quality has degraded. If it was just 1 flaw I'd still give it 4 stars, but there's 3 factors which made me only give it 3 stars. 1. The lid does not open/close as smoothly. The seal still seems fine but with my first two I am able to spin the lid with a quick turn and then tighten close. Now the lid does not turn with ease (no satisfying whirring spin) but can open alright and close tightly still. 2. It did not come with a scoop this time but it sounds like missing scoop could be a common problem - still somewhat disappointing I have to get an unmatching scoop now. 3. The 'seams' where it looks like they fuse the two halves of the container together was a very clean line on my first two. This third one has bumpy imperfections to it and also has lines across the top of the container like the edge of a scraper was pulled across the plastic while it was warm and malleable. Ultimately it seems to be just cosmetic defects. Not sure if there happened to be a flaw in manufacturing this one or an overall change.
I needed two containers because my dogs are on different diets. These appealed to me because my kitchen is tiny and I could stack these. Unfortunately over time, the bottom container began to warp and no longer closes despite the top container never even coming close exceeding the weight limit. I called Chewy to see if they’d replace this clearly defective product and they declined as I’m 7 days outside the return window. I’m disappointed and now need to purchase another solution (elsewhere obviously).
Buying the 40 lb bag of dry food is the best price, so I had to upgrade my storage. This 40 lb gamma vault was a great price for something that's airtight and durable. Only about 30 lbs actually fits in the 40 lb container, but nevertheless I'm very happy with my purchase.
I was happy with the space savings of using the vault vs bag so I ordered another to stack. Unfortunately the do not stack safely. Overall unimpressed with the advertised product and it's quality. Even with the price discounted almost half, I wouldn't waste money on another after learning they don't actually stack.
Container is great except it’s too small when a 36 lb food bag goes in leaves little space before it’s spilling out while you try to scoop the front get bigger size then you need.
Great for pet food storage. I had one of these a long time ago and sorry I gave it away. They are expensive though.
