Are the containers and bowls considered “food grade”?

Does the food that is in the glass container remain fresh?

The section which contains the dry food is not glass; it’s plastic. And because the storage section is open at the bottom to allow the food to flow into the bowl, the food would not remain fresh like it would if it were stored in a sealed container.

What is the purpose of the plastic cutout where the food comes out? It seems to stop the food from going into the bowl.

I'm going to buy the larger version because I love petmate products, but the small feeder constantly clogs with my pets food. I think if the kibble was round and uniform it would be fine, but he's got his particular food preference and I will just get a bigger container and hope the funky shape of his kibble works better in that.

I bought this to replace a 20+ year old feeder. I had concerns about the possible PFAs or other dangerous contaminants in the old feeder. I'm glad this new one has no dangerous plastics in it, but is on the small side for my three hungry kitties! It's fine for now, but I may need to replace it with the next larger size.

It's alright I guess

The opening is a little small for filling, and I have to regularly walk by and shake it to get the contents to fill the bowl portion....but at least I don't have

The opening is a little small for filling, and I have to regularly walk by and shake it to get the contents to fill the bowl portion....but at least I don't have to lift the feed bucket and fill their bowls every day with this, so it's helpful. After my surgery moving is painful so it was important to have tools like this to help out. It's my first purchase of any of these types of things, so I don't know if it's normal or if this design just doesn't have exceptional angles. I bought two because my cat doesn't enjoy sharing with my kiddo's cats.... but Idk that I would buy another one....

Gravity feeder does not work. Once dish is empty, nothing comes out unless I stick my hand in and pull it out. Tried 3 different types of kibble at different levels

Holds a week of food

This container is great, it says it holds 12 cups, food lasted about a week for our fur babies, and it was great for our baby who is a picker she doesn't like to

This container is great, it says it holds 12 cups, food lasted about a week for our fur babies, and it was great for our baby who is a picker she doesn't like to just stand and eat it all. Also, it helped out fast eater- she has been struggling with weight so I wasn't sure about this product at first, but once she realized food just constantly refills, she stopped being so gluttonous, she eats a few bites slowly and walks away.

Like the gravity feed. The opening could be a little larger, to use a ceramic mug to fill. Plus the lid is a little awkward to snap off. It looks like it should

He does this but only a few come out. I have to shake it to make it refill! I bought it for when we go on vacation, so it doesn't work for us.

This flaw was called out over and over. It caught my eye when I was ordering something else and thought the sale price was good. Nope! I had to order it and got stuck with a container that doesn’t work! Tuition!!
