The amount of food your cat needs will vary depending on breed, activity level, age and climate. Use our feeding chart as a guide, adjusting the quantity fed to achieve your cat's ideal weight.

We suggest feeding twice a day, kittens more often. Provide fresh, clean water at all times. Love, attention, playtime and chin scratches should be given freely, as often as possible.

Pregnant/lactating females: increase intake by 50%.

Transition Instructions

It’s important to slowly transition your pet to a new food so their system has a chance to adapt to the change. The transition period should be at minimum, 10 days and could take upwards of 2 weeks, depending on your pet’s sensitivity to change.

  • Day 1 & 2: Feed 80% of your pet’s old food with 20% of the new food
  • Day 3 & 4: Feed 60% of your pet’s old food with 40% of the new food
  • Day 5 & 6: Feed 40% of your pet’s old food with 60% of the new food
  • Day 7, 8 & 9: Feed 20% of your pet’s old food with 80% of the new food
  • Day 10 & Forever: Feed 100% new food

I followed the feeding guidelines on your packaging, but my pet is too fat/thin. Why?

Feeding Guidelines are simply a place to start. You should increase or decrease the amount you feed based on your pet’s activity level and weight.

Are the ingredients used in Petcurean products “human-grade”?

All of our fresh meat and meat meal ingredients are sourced from animals passed fit for human consumption by the CFIA. The fruits and vegetables used in our recipes also come from the human food chain. We do not, however, claim that our ingredients are “human-grade”; once an individual ingredient leaves a “human-grade” processing facility and enters a “pet food” processor, the ingredient loses its “human-grade” classification.

What is an organic ingredient?

A certified organic ingredient provides a guarantee that the ingredient has met strict government standards for how food is grown, handled and processed; using organic agricultural methods. Organic agriculture focuses on farming practices that encourage soil and water conservation and regeneration, and reduces pollution. Organic farmers use natural fertilizers and pest control methods to benefit the soil, plants and animals for a healthy environment.

Where are your products made?

Our SPIKE Jerky Treats are manufactured in Gainsville, Georgia and our SPIKE Treat Bars are made in Brampton, Ontario. We are 100% China free for processing and ingredient sourcing. Cats seem to like it

    By on

The cats eat it pretty well. I haven't really noticed much of a change in their coats though. My one long hair still has dandruff, but he is vet bound in a week, so I'll get that straightened out then hopefully.

I Finally Found the Perfect Food

    By on

At one year of age, one of my cats was diagnosed with stomatitis and eventually had to have all his teeth removed. Since that time, I have been searching for a dry food he likes, he can swallow whole and that doesn’t come back up. Both cats loved this immediately. So far, it’s been a miracle food!

    Helps with dandruff, skin dryness

    By on

I am really pleased with this food. The kibble size is super small so it's good for cats of all ages. The skin and coat care formula does seem to help with dry skin issues and reduces dandruff. Plus I am more confident feeding my kids food manufactured in Canada.

My cat seems to like it and he's a very picky eater. I liked the ingredients and it has a better aroma than the previous food I used.

My cat wasn't a fan of this one

    By on

Unfortunately Chewy stopped carrying the brand my cat has been eating for years, so the last time I ordered food, I tried this one. I began by mixing it with her old food and she would eat around this food to pick out the other kibbles from her old brand to eat. It took over a week for my cat to actually start eating this, and she still doesn't get excited about it like she did with the old brand I fed her. Unfortunately she started getting scabs on the underside of her throat/around her neck from scratching, which the vet said is likely a food allergy to whatever she is eating. Back to the drawing board. :(

A bit too expensive, but worth it if you have sensitive furbabies...

    By on

Great dry food to rotate in your kitty's menu, especially if you have furbabies like mine that crave crunchies - Plus, unlike Petcurean Now Fresh Grain-Free Adult Recipe Dry Cat Food, it doesn't have TOMATO as a main ingredient! You would think that in 2018 a premium petfood manufacturer like Petcurean would know that nightshade vegetables are toxic to felines...DUH!

    No peas!!!! Yay!

    By on

I have a cat with a pea allergy. Let me tell you it us hard to find a quality food without peas added. I called and spoke to PetCurean on the phone. They have fabulous customer service. My cats all loved it from day one, and continue to eat it. With fears about sourcing for meats and products used in cat/dog food, i totally trust this company.

    Kitties and Mom approved!

    By on Top 250 Contributor

Petcurean Go! was a major hit in our household. The kitties could barely keep their paws off the bag. It's formulated to fit "All Life Stages", so our 6 month of kitten can eat the same as his 4yr old and up siblings! Makes it much easier for us having 5 cats.

    Cats really like this

    By on

Both of my cats seem to enjoy this food! I bought it to try after another of their usual brands became unavailable on Chewy. I will definitely be ordering more of the same as well as other flavors in the future.
