The Best of the Land and Sea

The Best of the Land and Sea

Give your kitty two of his favorites with Artisan Grain-Free Chicken & Fish, a nutritionally balanced meal that starts with USDA-inspected chicken and Alaskan Pollock. This all-natural food is ready in just 5 minutes—all you have to do is add a little water, stir and serve. As the freeze-dried morsels rehydrate, you'll see real chunks of fish and wholesome vegetables and herbs—just like a home-cooked meal.

Grandma's Special Tummy Remedy

Simple Remedy is just what the (kitty) doctor ordered for an upset stomach. It's the traditional recipe for nausea, vomiting and diarrhea that's easy to digest and gentle on the stomach. This formula is recommended by veterinarians as something you can feed your cat in place of his regular meal until he's back to normal. The recipe is simple—just boneless, skinless chicken breast meat and plain white rice. Add water, and it's ready to serve!

Single-Ingredient Meat Treats

Pure, delicious meat is any cat's favorite thing to eat, and that's exactly what these treats are made of. There's just one simple ingredient in each bag—freeze-dried fish or poultry. These single-ingredient treats are made with line-caught Alaskan Pollock or U.S.-raised chicken or chicken liver that's free of antibiotics with no added hormones.

About Grandma Lucy's

With a name like Grandma Lucy's, you'd expect a company that's family-owned and operated—one that you can trust. And that's exactly what you'll find. Since 1999, the Shook family has created pet foods of the same quality and made from the same healthy ingredients as their own food. Their main taste tester was Lucy, an 11-year-old Cocker Spaniel who had no problem turning down food she didn't like. These recipes have passed the Lucy taste test, so you know your pets are sure to love them just as much.

    Enjoyed this food!

I ordered a small bag to try for one of my cats, I didn't really know what to expect since I had not purchased a food like this before. Not only did my cat love it...all my cats loved it. It reconstitutes rapidly in warm or room temperature water, forming a soft gruel appropriate for sensitive mouths or kittens. Its feeding guide indicates all life stages, and I appreciate the high 40% protein content. I think it is a good alternative to wet food as canned can be costly in a multi-cat household. The formula contains potato which I feel meh about, but it's far better than a bunch of grains. I can see using it as a mixer in dry food or canned food to add extra nutrition and flavor as well. Bonus that it is near exclusively US ingredients. I think it is a good quality diet at an extremely fair price. … more

    Mia wouldn't eat it!

Tried it both wet & dry and she did without dinner rather than eating this! She prefers Stella & Chewy's Duck Duck Goose Goose. Gave Grandma Lucy's to a friend who's feeding an abandoned sweet kitty.

    Grandma Lucy’s not for cats

    By on

I had high hopes for a healthy food alternative, but my cat would not even touch Grandma Lucy’s Cat Food. She can picky but she’ll always eat at least some of food that she’s not fond of. She wouldn’t get near this, though. The texture is unlike any other cat food. The amount suggested is ridiculous for a cat meal. It seems more like a dog food.

    total waste of money

    By on

This food is disgusting. I bought it for my 5 month old cat who eats literally anything. I mixed this up and it stinks like nothing but a cheap bag of potato flakes. There weren’t many chunks of anything in it. My cat won’t touch it. Disappointed about this one. I was hoping for something better than canned food but this definitely isn’t it.

    Cats hate it

    By on

Neither of my cats would touch it. It smells awful. It looks like cream of wheat. I even tried putting chicken broth in it. Didn't help. I really wanted something good to give daily as a treat for a soft food. I will keep looking.

    Not so good...

    By on

It has the consistency of cream of wheat. It also doesn't smell like anything and yes I tasted it, and it did not taste like anything. So, of course, NONE of my cats touched it. So I tried to mix it with Chicken broth instead of water and added tuna. Still no go. I would also never mix it 1 to 2 as 1 to 1 is running enough. I may just try to sprinkle a little product in with their wet food, so it won't go to waste.
