Pet Food, Pure and Simple
Grandma Lucy's makes sure your feline friends get the same quality food as the rest of the family with healthy food and treats that taste amazing, too. Everything's made in their own state-of-the-art kitchen in Southern California with top-of-the line ingredients and no preservatives or by-products. From freeze-dried food to single-ingredient treats, you're sure to find your pet's new favorite.

The Best of the Land and Sea
Give your kitty two of his favorites with Artisan Grain-Free Chicken & Fish, a nutritionally balanced meal that starts with USDA-inspected chicken and Alaskan Pollock. This all-natural food is ready in just 5 minutes—all you have to do is add a little water, stir and serve. As the freeze-dried morsels rehydrate, you'll see real chunks of fish and wholesome vegetables and herbs—just like a home-cooked meal.
Grandma's Special Tummy Remedy
Simple Remedy is just what the (kitty) doctor ordered for an upset stomach. It's the traditional recipe for nausea, vomiting and diarrhea that's easy to digest and gentle on the stomach. This formula is recommended by veterinarians as something you can feed your cat in place of his regular meal until he's back to normal. The recipe is simple—just boneless, skinless chicken breast meat and plain white rice. Add water, and it's ready to serve!

Single-Ingredient Meat Treats
Pure, delicious meat is any cat's favorite thing to eat, and that's exactly what these treats are made of. There's just one simple ingredient in each bag—freeze-dried fish or poultry. These single-ingredient treats are made with line-caught Alaskan Pollock or U.S.-raised chicken or chicken liver that's free of antibiotics with no added hormones.
About Grandma Lucy's
With a name like Grandma Lucy's, you'd expect a company that's family-owned and operated—one that you can trust. And that's exactly what you'll find. Since 1999, the Shook family has created pet foods of the same quality and made from the same healthy ingredients as their own food. Their main taste tester was Lucy, an 11-year-old Cocker Spaniel who had no problem turning down food she didn't like. These recipes have passed the Lucy taste test, so you know your pets are sure to love them just as much.

Great idea but cats not interested in rehydrated or dry.

Edible when left as dry food
By Autto on Jul 1, 2020
I have 2 cats and 2 dogs. One of each is picky, the other not. Neither cat nor the picky dog would eat this when rehydrated. Luckily I have a Hoover dog who will eat almost anything. However, later in the day I gave the cats some of this dry and they both ate it, and still later they got a little more. The picky cat ate all of hers and some of the nonpicky cat's food, which was surprising. Thus the 4 rating. I know the ingredients are good because I've fed my dogs this brand for several years now.

Bynx loves this stuff!
By CatMama on Aug 8, 2020
My cat devours this food! I top it with proteins like chicken, salmon, or freeze-dried morsels and he eats it all up! I love it too because I know he's getting a full, healthy meal. I just wish there was an option to buy a bigger bag! :/

Had to mix it into tuna
By Kathy on May 3, 2020
I mixed the food as per the directions. I put it down for my cats and they turned their noses up. They sat there waiting for their regular food. I mixed it into tuna fish and they finally ate it.

Finally, an affordable freeze dried food!
By Fish on Jan 15, 2020
We are on day three of transitioning to this new food, and so far all three cats are lapping it up! My senior cat is no longer able to eat crunchy kibble. When we switched to wet cat food, I was overwhelmed by all the packaging. I have wanted to switch to freeze dried for a long time, and I’m thrilled to have finally found one that we can afford. Goodbye stinky cat food cups!

grandma Lucy’s cat food

I’m sure it’s a great food for cats but my cat won’t even try it :(

Too many fillers!
By Melanie on Nov 30, 2019
Not sure what type of nutritional education the makers of this food have, but why would you include potatoes and celery? Cats are obligate carnivores and this is no better than kibble at twice the cost. Shame.

Theoretically a great idea, practically, cat's didn't want to eat it
By lynnss on Sep 22, 2019
I decided to toss this rather than try to convince my cats to eat it. They (one in particular) love freeze dried fish and most fish based wet foods. This, was not of interest to them and, for me, was messier and a little more work. If you're committed to trying it, it could be a great way to serve an easily rehydratable fish to your cats for a healthy meal. I don't think there is anything wrong with this unique product, it's just not for every human servant and not for every cat.

Adult said no; kittens said yes
By HowDogsLearn on Sep 25, 2019
My adult cat wouldn’t have anything to do with this, so the bag got stuck in the back of the closet. When it came time to wean a litter of foster kittens, though, it worked great mixed with milk replacement formula!
