Odd Question, but can these be used for a cat's capsule? I'm currently wrapping two cat pill pockets around a kitty Prozac capsule. I'm thinking the dog pill pockets would be bigger?

Answer by ChewyMar 07, 2018
These pill pockets are not made for cats. Greenies makes the Pill Pockets Feline Chicken Flavor Cat Treats.

Can you freeze these for time in between medications?

Answer by ChewyFeb 03, 2023
The manufacturer has stated the following about this product – “We would not recommend freezing our pet food or treats. Freezing may affect the taste and texture. Additionally, freezing the food would not extend the shelf-life."

Are these capsules?

Answer by ChewyOct 20, 2022
These treats act as a way to hide a capsule-sized pill inside.

My dog is on a low fat diet due to pancreatitis. How much fat do these contain? Are they safe for dogs with a history of pancreatitis?

Warning for Nonprofits & Organizations Using Chewy for Supplies

We are a nonprofit organization and have experienced ongoing invoicing issues with Chewy that create serious accounting and compliance problems. While the amounts charged to our payment method are often correct, the itemized invoices frequently do not mathematically support the totals shown. Line items and shipment subtotals are repeated across multiple sections, making it impossible for a third party to add the itemized details and arrive at the total. For nonprofits, this is a major issue. Invoices must be clearly itemized, additive, and audit-ready in order to be entered into accounting systems like QuickBooks and retained for IRS compliance. Explanations by email do not replace a properly balanced invoice. We have spent hours over multiple years requesting corrected invoices just to close our books. This administrative burden ultimately forced us to significantly reduce ordering from Chewy. Chewy has corrected invoices for us in the past, so this is not a compliance limitation, but it continues to be a recurring problem. If your organization requires accurate, itemized invoices for audit or IRS purposes, be aware that Chewy’s invoicing system may cause delays and significant extra administrative work.

My Rottie was diagnosed last year with Masticatory Myositis and treated with Prednisone and gabapentin for several months. Giving her medication for such an extended period of time was a breeze with the pill pockets. She tried and liked all of the pill pocket flavors. She never hesitated to take her meds.

The key to Parvo Recovery!

We adopted a pup with Parvo to try and save him when the rescue did not have the resources. Our vet team did an incredible job, but the at-home recovery is no joke

We adopted a pup with Parvo to try and save him when the rescue did not have the resources. Our vet team did an incredible job, but the at-home recovery is no joke. The amount of medication we were sent home with was bonkers and these treats made it possible. They are still his favorite months later and we use them as high reward training treats!

These Pill Pockets are admittedly expensive but I have learned how to use them so I can get more out of them. My Cockapoo Stella has seizures and will be on meds for the rest of her life. I cut each little pocket in half or quarters depending on pill size. Greenies are very moldable compared to other brands I have tried plus she loves the chicken flavor. I highly recommend this brand.

I'm not sure how this works inside anyone else's dogs but my Lab has thrown these up repeatedly, no fault of the pill pocket itself, he's just occasionally throwing up. I can tell you that the pills are in tack 2 hours later, they have not gotten digested at all!!!!!! This has happened several times now. Other than that it's an easy way to get a pill in.

These caused my dogs to have loose stools so I prefer not to continue using them. They are very soft and fall apart when trying to stuff the pill in them. Think the consistency of processed cheese. They might work for others but they’re not for my furbabies.

We own two, elderly, King Charles Cavalier’s with a variety of chronic health problems. Both are on daily, life long medication. It was a struggle to get them to swallow their pills. Thank goodness we found chicken flavored Greenies. Our dogs consider them treats and now gobble down their pills, without incident.

My dog loves the Pill pockets in chicken flavor. Be aware that these are small and tablet sized. I had previously purchased capsule sized and was surprised at how small these were. My fault for not paying attention. They’re perfect for one tablet but small for more than that. Chewy has great delivery times and the service and prices are excellent.
