Can you remove the prongs if you don’t want to use the shock function?

If you don't need the shock feature, you can set the shock level to zero to disable it. There is no need to remove the prongs as it would expose the studs that would cause injury of the skin.

Ok but seemed to malfunction

the nylon used as a collar is very thin and loosens as the dog runs or rolls in it. I also wish there was an option to fully disable the shock since my dog got overstimulated

I also wish there was an option to fully disable the shock since my dog got overstimulated even on the lowest setting and with the rubber caps on. In addition, the collar malfunctioned once and delivered a shock unexpectedly, which was very concerning. The vibration and sound are effective on their own without needing the shock feature.

My dog is not happy wearing this. It's a little bulky. Yet, the product was simple to assemble, though the instructions seem unnecessarily complicated and drawn

My dog is not happy wearing this. It's a little bulky. Yet, the product was simple to assemble, though the instructions seem unnecessarily complicated and drawn out. The manual is obviously small as it needs to fit in the box, therefore, print is accordingly small and difficult to read. A lot of squinting and even a magnifying glass was needed.

This is a nice looking collar and I like most of the options available to use. Unfortunately it did nothing for my dog. I think his will to bark is stronger than the collar. I will say that I have two dogs and they get each other going so maybe it would work with both collared but he still barked with the collar on. This collar has a nylon strap and the ability to shock, vibrate or ultrasonic sound. I think it might work on some dogs but stubborn ones who bark at the wind I just don't recommend.

It does have some effect on the dog I used it with, but his will is stronger than the collar. I will say that I didn’t use the zap function, which might be more effective but I try to not use strong aversive methods whenever possible. It’s very adjustable and will fit about any dog. Easy to change, a little confusing to set up but I figured it out quickly. The one issue that I did run into was having several barky dogs. Their barking also sets off the collar.

It took me a while to understand how to use this. The instructions were not very clear. It would have been helpful to have a simple "get started" guide. Once I figured out how to set it up I tried it on our Beagle. There are three options - shock, vibrate and ultrasonic sound. I tried multiple strengths and multiple sensitivity levels Our Beagle is loud and stubborn and seem unaffected by any of the modes. Spraying her occasionally with small amounts of water works better to curb the barking!

He barks for attention or when crated in the other room and the collar didnt even slow him down. We tried several different settings changing both the sensitivity and the fuctions but nothing worked for him. May work for a less stubborn dog, but not ours.

Don't get me wrong, there's people who may choose to use the shock setting, I'm just not one of them. I have a crazy, overactive lab/ golden mix who loves the early morning bark sessions. This collar just didn't do it for her, she continued with the early serenade.
