My 9 chinchillas LOVE this hay! I have tried nearly every single brand out there, and they have always just picked at it. This is the FIRST TIME in 25 years that my chins have gobbled up nearly every piece! It is SO green and fresh, smells SOOO amazing! Big flat leafy green pieces and none of those long yellow sharp straw-like pieces like other brands. Also no brown curly stringy pieces like other brands, although some of mine like those haha. And it is not all dust at the bottom of the bag like other brands too! I had a chinnie choke on hay dust in the past, so the fact this hay is not dusty is a huge deal! It is packaged just oh so perfectly! I never thought in a million years I would be able to see empty hay troughs! So glad I discovered Halls and I have never been so quick to click the Autoship button! Haha, thank you Halls and Chewy, you have 9 very happy chinchillas! I feel like this will extend their lives even longer by keeping their teeth and digestive tracts in tip top shape! Yay!
I love how this second cut Timothy hay arrived. This is so much better than what I previously bought for Mrs. Iris. She really loves it, also the zip log bag is perfect for keeping it fresh. I will get this again when we run out. The min bale is perfect and we definitely recommend it.
I thought it will be a better hay than the popular brands but the hay was dry and hard. My guinea pig tried to sort through the hay but could not eat enough to satisfy him.
Expected a better quality of hay. Had to separate a lot of dead hay before giving it to my piggies
Our bunnies liked this hay! We will be buying again.
It was OK quality, green but not very aromatic. No extraneous elements though, clean and not dusty.
Our rabbit was not happy with this batch. It was pretty dry and brown.
It's a bad year for green softer hay I guess.( Draught) I have tried just about every brand of timothy hay and it all been brown with lots of stems. This one is okay, but the box was hard to get the hay out of..(messy)
This was the first order and my bunnies loved it! I usually purchase from a different vendor. But that was was frequently dry and brown. My bunnies would touch it.
The box is small & adorable, the hay is weirdly satisfying to open and grab out of the box from the way it’s cut & packaged. So far my chins are liking it!
