I have never heard of this company, and when I 1st ordered the alfalfa hay, I had no expectations whatsoever. I was used to the Small Pet Select quality, and I figured this is a smaller amount, and if it's not great, it won't be such a waste. Man, was i WRONG! The hay was green, looked harvested recently, compressed nice and tight, full of leaves not just stems, very little to no dust. I was completely blown away. I did not expect such an amazing quality! I have ordered at least 3 more boxes and will continue to do so because my bunnies absolutely love it. I only wish it came in a bigger box, with more than just 6lb. Please keep in mind that alfalfa hay is recommended for rabbits younger than 5-6 months, pregnant or nursing moms, sick, malnourished adults, or elderly rabbits. I would assume the same can be said about guinea pigs. For the regular healthy adult animals, timothy is better suited because it will not cause obesity!
I have a young Flemish Giant doe that refuses to eat Timothy hay. She loves the Alfalfa hay from Halls. It had little to no dust and lasted her about three weeks. Since her foods autoship I order two boxes at a time.
This company extremely irresponsible. Guinea pig should not eat this as a primary feed, especially older unless instructed by a vet. This is not healthy and can cause problems. My wife ordered it without knowing. Shame on the seller for listing guinea pigs without this additional information.
Our bunnies will only eat alfalfa hay and when we ordered this one for them they went WILD! They try to steal it out of the box.
I usually buy Hall's Timothy Hay and my guinea pigs love it. I decided to try the Hall's Alfalfa and they will not eat it. It's lots of roundish green leaves, but no real hay. Waste of money. Will not buy again.
My bunny will not eat any other kind of alpalpha hay
I got this for my ducklings, big ducks, and chickens. The ducklings love it. I love the smell of alfalfa hay. So far, I barely made a dent in the 6 lbs, and it came fully packed in the box. This would last a while.
My skinny pig, Stella, loves this alfalfa! I will definitely recommend and repurchase!!
My 2 young female piggies love it. I love the way its boxed up
This hay problem is real folks! Chewy came through for me. Thank you Chewy
