Can you feed it in dry form or should you add water and why add water

Freeze-Dried recipes remove only water, preserving the characteristics and natural nutrition of fresh real food. The formulas lack moisture and adding water gives your pet the moisture they need. If your dog eats this without the water, it will absorb the moisture in their body, leading to dehydration.

Is this considered a balanced diet? I hear so much about feeding raw and adding fruits & veg. My dog eats it for the time being. She is extremely picky and will eat this for her late meal.

Raw healthy ingredients

I have been feeding my girls this food for a number of years. My vet wanted me to feed them the frozen raw but I found that over time they since to lose some interest

I have been feeding my girls this food for a number of years. My vet wanted me to feed them the frozen raw but I found that over time they since to lose some interest. In addition I had to have a cooler when I traveled with them. Then I discovered freeze dried dog foods. What a wonderful idea and it is easy to bring with when I travel. One of my girls has a sensitive stomach and this food keeps her digestive issues at bay. They are thriving on this. I wish that Halo would come out with other meats other than beef and turkey. I do add some other meats and seafood on my own so they are exposed to variety. The girls also enjoy the Halo raw topper as well.

When I first ordered this from Halo, my little 11 year old (she was around 8 then) had stopped eating her regular kibble and when she would take a few bites she would throw it back up. She was not very active and caused me to worry. I didn’t know if she had much longer to live so ordered just one bag. They had it to my house within 2 days from when I placed my order.
