Is this food AAFCO certified?

This food is not only formulated to meet the AAFCO guideines but to exceed the recommendations set forth from AAFCO. This food is made in the USA from cage-free, USA born, raised and harvested Turkey, meaty bones and whole organ meats, fortified with amino’s, Vitamins B3 & B6 and Selenium. You will never find any grains, fillers, preservatives, or coloring in any TruDog products.

Is it hard like kibble or does it crumble?

This food is hard and does not crumble. Adding some warm water, while not necessary, can help reconstitute the meat and soften it a bit if desired.

How long will an unopened bag remain useable?

This food has close to a 2 year shelf life, unopened. Once opened, it will stay fresh for 30-60 days if kept in a cool, dry place.

how do you use it, does it have to be soaked in water or something like that

Adding water to your dog's bowl of TruDog Freeze-Dried to makes a great meal, or use it as a topper for a dose of added nutrition in your dog's favorite kibble. Using the formula as a topper at first can make for the perfect way to slowly introduce a raw diet to your pup. I have been really upset about the Halo Beef Freeze Dried Food being out of stock. My dogs have been on this food from the beginning @ they are 11 & 12 years old

I have been really upset about the Halo Beef Freeze Dried Food being out of stock. My dogs have been on this food from the beginning @ they are 11 & 12 years old. We’ve supported the original company, True Dog early in its beginning. I was worried about tummy upsets by having to change their food but the Halo Turkey has been great. No tummy problems on sensitive stomachs. When will the beef be back in stock?

Cost is outrageous!

All my dogs love this, but as a breeder it is not cost effective anymore. It was already expensive when it was around $29 for 14 oz, but then it jumped over $9 dollars

All my dogs love this, but as a breeder it is not cost effective anymore. It was already expensive when it was around $29 for 14 oz, but then it jumped over $9 dollars in one night which is a huge price increase. I can buy Dr. Marty's for around $28 for 16 oz, and they love is just as much and is a high quality food. $28 is Still expensive but more affordable
