This is a very high quality seed. It arrived vacuum sealed, so I know it is fresh. The size of the pieces is small enough for many types of birds to enjoy (so far

This is a very high quality seed. It arrived vacuum sealed, so I know it is fresh. The size of the pieces is small enough for many types of birds to enjoy (so far I've seen mostly chickadees and titmice, with an occasional cardinal). What's really nice about this seed is that there is no waste, and the way it's processed, any seed that falls to the ground will not seed, so no weeds to pull! It is more expensive than other birdseeds, but you're paying for the quality. I was worried at first that the birds might not like it, because I didn't have to refill the feeder right away, but then I realized that because there are no shells for the birds to get rid of, everything there is edible and will take longer to go through. Definitely worth it to keep my backyard buddies happy!

We get tufted titmice, chickadees, woodpeckers, and finch around here. However, it is “fall” in Texas, so we don’t see many birds in the yard right now. This bag is mostly sunflower seeds (birds love those!), so we mixed it with the rest of the seed we already had to fill a basic hanging feeder. No mess underneath, so that’s a definite plus!
