    Better than nothing

By Elenapoe on Jan 3, 2021

My squirrels seem to have gotten accustomed to the taste of hot pepper. They are constantly at my bird feeders. I've tried all sorts of devices to discourage them. Pepper seeds were my last resort. Not sure if they work at all. Then again, maybe the squirrels in my yard are special. After all, they seem to belong here.

    Great Quality

By KHaney on Jan 4, 2021

This food is great quality as far as seed goes, with no garbage. Squirrels hate the chili flakes and it says that birds are supposed to love the chili flakes but mine didn't touch them at first. Took a while for the birds to adjust.

    Finally a solution!

By EvaM on Nov 3, 2020

I have tried EVERYTHING to keep the squirrels from hogging all the bird seed — baffles, greased poles, even hot sauce! — and nothing worked. I was so frustrated! I finally saw this (I’d seen some before but it was really expensive) and decided to give it a try. It works! I still have a couple squirrels who continue to eat the food, but before there were at least a dozen, so I am VERY pleased. The cost is comparable to what I paid for regular seed, which is also a plus.

    Mostly Millet

By Phil on Dec 5, 2020

This feed is made mostly of Millet which is just thrown on the ground by the birds hunting for better seed. All in all its a waste of money. I did not see a list of ingredients on the item page or would not have bought it.

    Birds Hate it

By Joan on Dec 18, 2020

I have had this food in my feeder for a month and no birds will touch it! I also ordered the chili pepper suet which the birds will eat but this product was a complete waste of money.

    Chipmunks10

By betterlate on Sep 14, 2020

No squirrels ate this after the first few days...birds absolutely love it..but the chipmunk does not know it is not a bird and yesterday spent about 7 hours sitting and eating it. Red peppers do not seem to bother it and chipmunk is perfectly delighted to eat it. Also, huge assortment (that just keeps growing and growing) of birds feeding now. (Squirrels no longer climb the pole to even attempt to eat it) I pour some on the ground, squirrels bypass it -they have their own food-but the chipmunks, rabbits and big birds are in heaven

    Too much millet

By Catherine on Dec 25, 2020

I do like the fact that the squirrels don’t care for this feed but I am disappointed that there is so much millet in it.

    No squirrels

By GloryB on Nov 8, 2020

The birds like the seed but so do the squirrels. The "pepper" does not deter them at all. So if that's why you want to purchase this seed I would not recommend it. To me it's not worth the higher price.

    Squirrels like it too

By schily on Dec 7, 2020

Just a heads up, the squirrels eat this too. They jump on the bird feeder and also at the spilled bird food that was on the picnic table.

    Drives squirrels crazy..

By Annette on Jan 5, 2021

The birds are eating much more now that they don't have to fight the squirrels to get to the feeder
