Does it really repel the squirles?

Yes! It took a week, but the squirrels eventually gave up on my feeders once they realized I wasn't changing out the seed to another kind. They kept coming back to try the seed (hoping it would be the old kind I used once that they devoured), but would leave rather quickly. It's been 6 months using this seed and the squirrels don't bother with it.

Will this seed also repel rats?

I got a similar food, and the rat that got into my rat safe feeder looked so frustrated in the full feeder, trying to find anything edible. It’s worked great for a year!!!

Has anyone found it works on repelling raccoons?

The food includes hot pepper oil which can deter raccoons.

The squirrels will not touch this bird seed! It's great! Now I can enjoy watching the birds without the squirrels eating it all.

Birds love it, Squirrels Don’t!

Birds are not affected by the spicy seeds, but squirrels and chipmunks are definitely put off by the heat, so they leave the birdseed alone.

A box full of bird seed!

We have this item as part of an Autoship and unfortunately, the bag was open in the box. The box itself wasn’t damaged but when it was delivered, the driver commented

We have this item as part of an Autoship and unfortunately, the bag was open in the box. The box itself wasn’t damaged but when it was delivered, the driver commented that seed was everywhere. And so, it then was everywhere in my house. But it’s okay and we salvaged about 90% of it. Aside from that, our backyard finches LOVE the food & it’s a honor to provide them with it!

I buy this type of hot pepper bird seed so the other critters leave it alone. Usually when I buy this from the bird store it gets gobbled up quickly, but not this

I buy this type of hot pepper bird seed so the other critters leave it alone. Usually when I buy this from the bird store it gets gobbled up quickly, but not this bag from chewy. The birds come once in awhile and eat this but it sits around for a bit. The critters do not bother it so that is good, but I do not feel that the seed is of very good quality, as the birds do not seem to like it very well.

Nobody liked this - not squirrels or birds

I love my squirrels but they eat everything and they are well fed at our house. That said, I wanted a bird feed that would be available just for the birds on a platform

I love my squirrels but they eat everything and they are well fed at our house. That said, I wanted a bird feed that would be available just for the birds on a platform feeder. Bad news, nobody touched it - good news the squirrels didn’t either. I googled how long until birds find your feeder. Decided to dump out the amount I had put on the platform and put out reqular no mess (non pepper) feed. Everyone loved that! So, they know it’s there, they just didn’t like it. Now, I have to find a closed up hopper feeder for the birds. Bad news - they are expensive.

I think they forgot the hot sauce on mine

Did not work at all, waste of money, should have bought cheaper not hot seed. Squirrels, chipmunks were fine with it.
