Good for those who don't like sharp tines
Both sides of this brush are fairly soft; I've found that my cat prefers this kind of brush to one with sharper tines like slicker brushes. The bristle side is a bit tough to clean, but I guess that's to be expected with this kind of brush.
I used the brush twice on my 3mo old Pomeranian and both times a metal bristle became detached. The bristles are tiny and I would not have known except I found my puppy chewing one of them. Definitely not safe.
Perfect for our short-haired puppy
I've tried about 4 or 5 brushes at this point for our American Bully puppy and many are too sharp/long-bristled/uncomfortable for her. This one is gentle and great for a short-haired dog. She actually looks forward to being brushed!
Not Useful for my cat
My cat won't tolerate this brush and would prefer to chew on it (so maybe has a purpose altho unintentional). He is short-haired and hus fur is slicker (not floofy). Might have been not the right type of brush for him as it did not get any fur when I could get brushing in. Be wary depending on fur type despite this brushes advertised versatility.
Both my cats love this brush and even try to use it by themselves. It does not scare them away as do some others I have tried
Brush purchased for my mini schnauzer. He has a massive coat. I really love the way the slicker side makes his coat feel after I use the other side. He is only 4 months old and will only get a little bigger than he is now, so the brush is a good size. I also like that it is slightly pointed to get under his arms. The handle is comfortable. I recommend this brush.
Not for me
This brush has a very thick handle which made it difficult to grip due to my severe arthritis. If you prefer a thick handle, it may be good for you. I tried it out on my long haired kitty and the traditional brush side didn't really get through her fur.
Good brush for a good price and my cat tolerates it which is saying a lot for him
Perfect size and can use either side depending on your cats fur. Worth the price.
Perfect brush for my long hair cat (himilayan/persian)
It's a perfect size for a cat and does not pull my cat's long fur the way other brushes do. My cat can tolerate being brushed for a longer time now and his coat is super soft afterwards
