Important Information

Fleas rise to the top of your pet's coat as they die, so consider it a triumph if you start seeing more fleas at first, after treating your pet. If you’re still seeing fleas after application, it may be because your pet has picked up new fleas from the environment, which may include other pets, surfaces and outdoor areas. It may take up to 30 days to break the entire flea life cycle. Additionally, you should also treat sources of new fleas (i.e., carpet, yard, etc.) to ensure complete flea control.

Safe for cats?

To use the Hartz Ultra Guard Flea & Tick Home Spray use the spray in homes, garages, attics, apartments and hotel. Hartz do not advise spraying pets directly. Any room being sprayed should not be used by any person or pet in the home for at least 2 hours after treatment, the room should be aired out for several hours before any person or pet in the home is exposed to the room.

After spray on furniture or bedding, can the animal get on the furniture/bedding after?

Can this be used on carpets?

What is the shelf life?

This product has a shelf life of 2 years. In order to determine the shelf life of the product, please take a look at the lot number. Hartz® UltraGuard Plus® Flea & Tick Home Spray, there will be two letters (PP) followed by a series of numbers located on the bottle. When reading the lot number, after the two letters the first three numbers indicate the day of the year the product was manufactured out of a 365 day year. For example, PP 21321 would be an example of the lot code. The first three numbers 213 would be the 213th day of the year, which falls in August. The fourth number, 2, indicates the last number of the year in which the product was manufactured (2022). Therefore, a product with the lot code PP 21321 was made in August of 2022, therefore, the product shelf life is until August of 2024.

This can be sprayed on top of my comforter. No mess, staining or other issues. It’s easy to apply safely to soft surfaces like pet bedding. Once it dried it’s good
