I tried this seed mix and the blue packaged mix for song birds from the same brand. This seed medley attracts a much greater variety of birds, song birds as well. It was eaten faster which shows that it’s certainly the preferred mix. Very happy with the quality.
I usually buy bargain bags of seed, and they work fine for my outdoor birds, but I tried this brand towards Spring last year, just a different blend, it was wonderful! This Spring I bought the same brand, just a different variety, well, the assortment of birds was amazing! It feeds everything from mourning doves to well, everything! Yup,squirrels too, but they need food too! This will remain my Spring kick-off brand every year!
My wild birds seem to be happy with this variety/blend of seeds. Bluebirds, Cardinals, Chickadees, Summer Tanagers, Pileated Woodpeckers, Blue Jays, Doves. Bluebirds have made a nest, 4 blue eggs, near my bird feeder, Caged tube feeder. Squirrels cannot get the seed!
I love watching all the birds in my yard and have 9 bird feeders in my yard. Birds that love this seed and fruit mixture: juncos, doves, finches, bluejays, and some teeny birds (no bigger than my thumb) that I've yet to be able to identify. It's so fun to watch them all. I especially like this seed has no corn in it (other, cheaper birdseed actually caused corn to grow in my yard)! I wish this came in bigger bags as I go thru a lot of it.
We love to feed the birds in the winter, but this seed was a miss. I had some hulled seed left when I got this and just finished most of it. I blended it with this to the feeders and my birds aren't coming anymore?! I don't get it! It looks like nice seed and has a BB date that isn't until 2024 and yet no birds that stick around at all. My reds, purples and goldfinches are gone and only a few sparrows show up now. It's been a week now and our kitty and myself miss seeing all the different birds coming. I haven't heard my cardinals at all in days and the blue jays come, sit on our fence and then fly away. Very puzzling indeed and it makes me very unhappy.
WOW!! This is great bird seed, variety and all the birds love it, chic a dees, cardinals, redwing blackbirds, titmouse, jays, downy woodpeckers, all kinds of birds. They are so delightfl to watch:)
I currently have three feeders up along side my chicken coop and I love to sit on my tree stump and watch my chickens eat and watch the different birds come by for a snack.
This is very good bird seed. They love it in my yard. Hope price don't go up. Some seed is very high and hope to continue to feed the wild life.
I’ve had this for a few weeks and it has been attracting birds and occupying my cat while I’m at work or busy. My only qualm really is that there are a bunch of empty sunflower seed pods Everywhere.. I keep my bird feeder in one location so there’s this one spot where you can see all of them.
This bird food has great price for the quality. I like to use high quality bird food to attract colored birds, but due to inflation, everything costs more. I use this product sometimes to cut some cost, but still colored birds keep coming back to my feeders. I add crushed bird suit cake, older fruits, and peanuts to feeders. More colored birds come to my back yard compare to my neighbors.
