The birds seem to like this selection of seed mixture, and it draws lots of Cardinals and Blue Jays, which is what I was hoping for.
No customer who is interested in offering fruit to their local wild birds will find this product helpful. The only fruit present is a few dried cherries, maybe 5 in three cups of mixture. These are added as whole fruits, with the **pit still inside**! Many feeders, like my own, won't have an opening large enough to let these huge lumps flow from the hopper into the feeding area. The price on this brand is lower than most, but we all know - you get what you pay for. Chewy is not doing customers a service by carrying this line.
I bought this produce for it had a combination of seeds, nuts and berries. Upon receiving this product I opened the bag and noticed the different seeds and nuts. But not dehydrated berries. I read the ingredients on the back of the bag and it red dehydrated berries. So I looked again through the bag and why I poured it into the birdfeeders, and there are no berries in it. I will not be buying this brand again.
We started using this bird seed in our yard and in our bird feeder and we now have more and also more varied bird species in our yard than ever.
The seeds and fruit are ok, but there's a lot of millet in this mix.
When the Kaytee Fruit and Nut was discontinued, we replaced it with this blend, because it included fruit (2 kinds) and a variety of nuts. With this blend we have a lot more plants sprouting under the feeders. When we used the Kaytee, we had almost no sprouts. Kaytee Fruit and Nut is still my first choice.
We have several types of birds we feed and they really go for this food. Loving the seeds and nuts and bits of fruit. I plan on ordering more of this food on automatic ship.
Don’t recommend this so much definitely not the best fruit and nut blend. Will not purchase again
I have been using Wild Delight Nut and Berry for years but it has gotten so expensive, I was looking for an alternative. This seed has a lot more millet in it, which birds just don't eat. The nuthatches and titmice in particular stopped coming when I switched from Wild Delight. I will go back to Wild Delight and suck up the higher price.
The birds really like this food. It is priced very reasonably. I'm glad I found this brand.
