Fill clean dry feeders with fresh wild bird food and place in a protected area near fresh water and trees or shrubs
This product is unlikely to meet the needs of any bird feeder. The content is mostly cheap millet seed, which is not hulled, and leaves litter all over. The large round peanuts are attractive only to the largest birds. It does contain sunflower hearts, but only whole. Songbirds attracted to these will be chased away by the grackles and squirrels eating the rest. Chewy is selling these off at a low price, but it's still a rip-off. We can't lose this product off the catalog soon enough.
This is a good outdoor bird seed. There isn't any sunflower seeds and the birds seem to love it. The best part is not having to clean up all the shells. The birds and the squirrels seem to enjoy it.
THis is actually a quite successful bird feed. Though Jays are not attracted to my feeders for the peanuts. Squirrels seem particularly attracted to this feef. Many bird species are coming to my feeders when filled and accessible.
The birds really like this product, with the exception of the peanuts. The birds throw the peanuts on the ground and the squirrels feast on them. So it is a win win for all.
I like this food because it is no waste. However every other time I order the bags split open in transit and are emptied inside the shipping box. I then have to call and Chewy does send out a replacement, but this has happened more than once. Upsetting and a waste of my time to have to clean up. I hope Chewy addresses this issue
Our birds tear it up! They eat at least 1 bag per week. Much better than the other brands which include mostly sunflower seeds still in the hulls.
NO WASTE is a waste. Cheap little round seed filler. Lots of it. TRACOR SUPPLY is way too expensive but you get top quality seeds and plenty of friuts and nuts. I wont buy again
I've been shipping 200lbs+ of this bird seed for my backyard feeders. I love it, except the peanut hulls are a mess in my yard as the birds do not consume this part and the hulls are difficult to get out of my artificial grass (live in AZ). Today, I canceled all future auto-shipments and have decided to buy bulk individual bird seed of millet, sunflower/canary seed and peanuts and mix together on my own. Even if it costs more, the lost hours cleaning my grass is worth any extra expense. Please reach out if the peanut hulls are eventually removed and I will consider coming back.
I have tried several different brands of wild bird food blends in my feeder on the front porch. I would not say this is "no waste" but definitely less waste than the other brands I've tried. It attracts a lot of different small birds. There is a small amount of waste, but for the price, this is the best I have found so far.
It took me a long time to want a cleaner area around my bird feeders. This product does the trick and the birds seem to like it too
