Pet birds love millet, outdoor birds, not so much
By SueC on Dec 25, 2020
I also noticed the abundance of 'no waste' millet sitting wasted on my patio. One merchant told me with so many people staying home many are newly discovering the joy of backyard birds. Is this Lyric's way of stretching inventory? While possibly 'cutting' the product with cheaper seed, the price also did not drop last fall as it usually does when many bird feeders go in and demand goes down. 'No Waste' is expensive, but worth it when it's not wasted. (6 months ago I would have given this product a 5 star rating)

The Best Seed
By Patti on Jan 10, 2021
I have used this seed three times now and am so impressed with all the birds I get at our feeder. There is no waste in the feed and always seems fresh. It's a good combination although I add more safflower seed to it to keep the black birds at bay. You won't be disappointed, I am loving watching my variety of birds!

birds flock to fine tunes feeder
By pearl on Dec 24, 2020
since changing from sunflower seed only to lyric fine tunes no waste mix the wild birds have been very excited! the squirrels love it, too, but that's fine by me. everybody gets hungry when it's cold, don't they?

The recipe has definitely changed....what happened?
By BJEE on Nov 16, 2020
All, I have to agree with other reviewers that the recipe for the "No Waste" appears to have changed. Birdies are looking at me as if to say, do you expect us to eat this (they're Brooklyn birdies)? Anyway, I'm off to get something to dilute this food (perhaps sunflower seeds) so that the birdies will be more tempted to eat.

A birdie approved food!!
By GEPS on Oct 23, 2020
Our backyard birds love this formula of seed. We have been feeding this food since the beginning of summer and we have not heard any complaints. Seriously, this is a similar food to that I bought from Wild Birds Unlimited, but without the chucks of cherry that clog our bird feeders. This is a nice blend of seeds that help keep backyard birds healthy!

What happened?
By KatU on Oct 27, 2020
I have used this seed for a long time and it was great. This last batch has a preponderance of millet. It was the first thing I noticed when I made my first scoop. Is this how it’s going to be from now on? If you’re trying to draw Eurasian Doves and Red-winged Blackbirds, it’s a good choice. I am not happy with it at all.

They are slow to eat it.
By Janet on Nov 17, 2020
Disappointing - the birds take a long time to eat it and I am doubtful they are the ones eating it. I suspect it is being scavenged by other creatures when they dump it on the ground. At least the small mammals like it and don't waste it.

what happened to the formula????
By ghayes007 on Oct 4, 2020
Birds love this food. However the batch just received is definitely different. I go through 3 bags a month and have doubts birds will like this latest bag(s).
