I have been buying this product for a number of years for the birds and other wildlife that come into my yard. It has become more expensive in the last few years. But recently I have noticed that there is more crushed corn in it and practically no dried fruit. You have to really look for it. Yes, lots of peanuts... It isn't the same product, but I don't know of one any better. I want what I buy for them to be completely consumed. (no shells, etc) That is why I have invested in this product for so long. I buy about 2--20-lb bags a month at this time. It is maybe $5 cheaper from Chewy than what you pay for the same product in a store that carries all wildlife products.
I have been using this product for several years to attract songbirds to my yard, but this year even more types of animals have been enjoying it. In addition to gray and Douglas squirrels, chipmunks, rabbits, deer, raccoons, and even a black bear are attracted to it. Although somewhat expensive, it's been worth every penny to see the wildlife, and it's an extremely high quality product, too.
This fruit and nut is expensive but no trash was experienced in the bag.
This Lyric variety is very good. The mixture is as I hoped and expected. The birds love it - several species of woodpeckers, nuthatch, finch, wren, titmouse, chickadee, bluebird, etc. They all love it - no junk.
A delicious fruit & nut mix that attracts blue jays, cardinals, woodpeckers, bluebirds, chickadees and more. They love it! I will be purchasing it again and highly recommend for all bird lovers.
Birds and critters enjoying it.
Lyric Fruit & Nut Bird Food: This is the first time I have purchased this particular brand of bird seed. It is certainly not the cheapest, but the birds, squirrels, deer and neighborhood foxes seem to like it very much. It does have lots of nuts. It also has a small percentage of corn - which, frankly, I would rather do without. (Corn has lots of carbohydrates, and large amounts of corn can be bad for deer). However, the large percentage of high protein\high fat nuts overweighs the corn percentage, so I can live with that. Because the various creatures like it so much, there has been no waste.
The pieces in this variety are too big to pass through the feeder. Please crush the ingredients better.
I’ve purchased for some years. I believe it has move feed corn in it now (2022-23) than it did before. But I’ve not found a replacement. I buy several bags a month.
As much as I like this, I am concerned about the rising cost. At some point, I am going to have to stop buying it
