Description

Woodpeckers work hard to scavenge for food by pecking at trees with endless determination. With Lyric’s Woodpecker No Waste Mix, now you can help them get the food they need without the extra work! This bird food is made with natural ingredients like shelled peanuts, sunflower kernels, corn, pecans and more. All the ingredients are recognizable and have been tested to ensure nature’s feathery friends are safe and happy. And what’s especially great about this bird food is that all the shells and hulls have been removed, so nothing goes to waste and there's no cleanup for you!

    Waste of money

By Wellcrap on Oct 18, 2021

Thought I would treat my Downy's and Flickers to some really special food this time, and they won't touch it! Won't eat it even if I take the cheap Menard's food away! So much for quality costs more! Maybe they are just "too country" for the "high falluting" stuff? Haha

    Large pieces

By Elena on Sep 10, 2021

This food is ok but not a favorite of my birds. It is the last to be eaten. The pieces are quite large, perhaps too large for many of the small birds that come to feeder. I bought it for lure my woodpeckers to the feeder. They like Kaylees fruit and nut (high waste) better, or the insects under the tree bark. Fine tunes has smaller sized pieces and is waste free.

    Great mix & good value

By TalksWithBirds on Jul 18, 2021

My Flickers and White-headed Woodpeckers only eat Peanut or Bluebird Nuggets and No-Melt Suet, but the Acorn Woodpeckers, Mountain Chickadees, White-breasted and Pygmy Nuthatches, Steller's Jays and Black-headed Grosbeaks (and, of course, Grey Squirrels, Ground Squirrels and Rabbits) love it. A really good mix of nuts and shelled Sunflower seeds with a small amount of cracked corn

The number of birds frequenting my mountain home has increased since adding Lyric Woodpecker mix to my offerings. I have several species of birds not to mention at least five woodpecker varieties.

    Second favorite

    By Chewyfan on Jul 14, 2020 top250Contributor

Like many others I have been watching birds while quarantined. I tried all sorts of brands before finding Lyric. This is the gold standard of bird seed. No fillers, no junk, just wholesome and easily recognizable ingredients. The birds' favorite is the Lyric Fine Tunes. It must have been on sale when I bought it at about $1/lb. For my next autoship order, the price had more than doubled - not just here but every I could find it online. I tried the Woodpecker blend, the Chickadee blend, and the sunflower seeds without shells. Here in Indiana, my flock ranked them in this order: 1. Fine Tunes 2. Woodpecker 3. Chickadee 4. Sunflower seeds As soon as I put out the Woodpecker blend, our woodpecker Like many others I have been watching birds while quarantined. I tried all sorts of brands before finding Lyric. Hairy and downy woodpeckers are visiting again. Only problem is keeping starlings away.
