Almost too good
I purchased this mix for my Brome Nut Feeder. I originally purchased mixed nuts (no fruit) from Wild Birds Unlimited but it did not attract birds. I wound up having to discard most of it. This mix is just the opposite. The birds are wild about it, maybe too much because they are finishing a tubeful (about 2 cups) a day; they would eat more if I replenished more often but that would be too costly.
Huge rock
Find it strange to have such a huge rock make it thru packing & inspection. Making weight? The rock wouldn’t stop me from buying again but it seems no one likes corn. Neither bird, squirrel or raccoon.
Not worth it
This is more expensive than other bird food. But I wanted to try to attract woodpeckers closer to the house. I have seen them occasionally eat from our feeder with generic food supplied. Our regular birds eat from their feeder and have eaten 3/4's of this bag from our separate feeder - but no woodpeckers yet! I gave it one star because the rest of the birds liked it.

It Works!!
We've been using this for about 15 years. When we started we had woodpeckers show up every once in a while. After one season we started having repeat visitors. No w we have at least five different species showing up at the feeded multiple times each day, summer and winter.

We wanted to try this mix to see if the birds liked it better than the nuts and fruit. It seems the birds of all types like the nuts and fruit the best, so I will stick with this variety on my next order.

best no waste blend I've found so far
This has great ingredients, including the fruit that I was looking for. I have one redheaded woodpecker, a pair of cardinals, a pair of squirrels, and numerous small birds that love to eat this mix from my hanging tray feeder every day. I gave it 4 stars because it could have a little less corn. All the birds and even the squirrels will gobble everything else first but leave most of the corn to the last in the feeder.
