Our puppy needed a dermatologic dog food, but hated this one. She would leave it sit and eat it when nothing else was offered. She ate in spirts instead of her typical one and done. We had to change to a different brand that is more expensive, but she likes it and is well.
We put my dog on this diet to try and figure out his food sensitivities. The first bag of it he ate ok but the second bag must have changed formulas. The second bag the pieces were bigger and the food had a really weird smell to it. My dog ate it a few times and then completely stopped. Mind you, my dog is a gobbler of any and all foods and I had up until this point never seen him turn down any food but he just will not touch this food anymore.
After two qeeks of using Hills Prescription Diet Derm for Puppies my itchiness and scratching has improved immensely! Customer Service was excellent and my food was delivered so quickly! I'm a much happier Pup and can focus more on play! Thank you, Chewy.
Our bernedoodle puppy has very sensitive skin, and we suspect an allergy, but is still too young to get tested. He would itch so much that all of the skin on his belly would be red and raw and he lost a lot of the fur on his belly. In conjunction with our vet, we tried many things to help with his itching. The only thing that seemed to work were steroids, but only while he was actively taking them. Because he couldn’t continuously be on steroids, our vet suggested giving Hill’s Derm Complete a try and it has absolutely turned our little dog’s life around. He’s been on it for about 2 months now and hasn’t had any issues with his skin since. He has energy again and isn’t spending his whole day itching. It’s been a huge relief to find something that works for him and can let him get back to being a puppy.
Young bullmastiff started on this diet several months ago due to allergies. He appears to really like the taste and it has helped with his food allergies. Will be moving on to Derm Complete (adult formula) when he finishes his supply of Puppy Derm.
