This food has changed his life He had serious issues when Miss Peetie passed away in march of this year...but the chicken stew which he has loved for 5 years...is keeping him going..and oyr new pupoy Teddy is assisting Thank you
Beeze loves it. I had to find another food since the one I have is for my diabetic dog. I needed something less expensive but I wanted to stay with Hill's. This was perfect for my needs.
I've used chewy for a number of years. Always prompt and packaged great. This food is amazing. What you want for your dog. Im happy not grain free. Grain free food causes heart conditions. This is one of the few that isn't grain free .
My dog took one whiff of the savory stew and gobbled it right down. He usually waits to see if his dog food will be topped off with steak or hamburger, but not with this. He loved it and licked his bowl after an entire can.
My Buddy is very picky. He gobbled down the first serving and looked for more. He did the same for the second serving. I think we have a winner
HIll's Science Diet for Adult 7+ is recommended by my vet for my senior dog. I feed him primarily a kibble diet, but find he relishes it much more with a bit of canned food added to every meal. This "stew" is chunky. I fish out four chunks of the meaty part and some of the veggies & gravy as well to smear onto his dimpled feeding tray. With the edge of my spoon I cut the meaty chunks into smaller pieces. Then pour a measured amount of kibble over that, press it down a bit and shake it to spread it out more into the tray's dimples. This gives my dog a great deal of motivation and feeding satisfaction as he licks the stew from every dimple and searches all the way to the edge of his tray for stray bits of kibble. By forcing him to slow down and search a bit his meal is spread out over more minutes. I save 1/3 to 1/2 his kibble for training. I feel Hill's Savory Stew is a satisfying and healthy addition to my senior dog's well-rounded diet.
Both of my dogs are 'adults' , very active, and my Westie has a delicate tummy. They both like the small bite kibble. But I like this canned best because it has big chunks of meat and vegetables you can identify and a nice, thick, brown gravy. They licke their bowls every night and I like the 'pop top' lid as well. Good food at a reasonalble price. And great customer support with your questions. Chewy is our place to get it all.
