Adjust feeding amounts as necessary to maintain optimal weight. If you are unsure, ask your veterinarian.
A gradual transition to a new pet food is important to avoid digestive upset. To transition, mix your pet’s current food with the new food. Over 7 days, gradually decrease the amount of the current pet food while increasing the amount of new pet food.
Cats loved the food. We didn’t. Despite regular brushing the cats began to produce copious amounts of hairballs. Often bringing up their food with it. It was becoming a biweekly event. We only rarely had hairballs on previous food but wanted to help our cat lose weight and get more quantity as it was lower in calories. So decided to try this food. We transitioned slowly and decided to give it a month. It became worse. They were bringing up hairballs nearly daily. To make matters worse their urine and feces began to smell horrific. Once they were eating solely this food our how whole would reek. We could still smell the waste for nearly an hour after disposing of soiled litter. We decided to go back to our old food. The good thing about the food is he did lose the remaining half pound while on it and the vet said he’s now a normal weight. So it does work for weight control rather nicely.
The orders always arrive very quickly. There’s a great variety of choices. The prices are reasonable. What more could a guy ask for?
I give this food to my domestic longhair and I really believe that it helps prevent hairballs. She seems to like the food and does well on it. Hills is a more expensive brand but I recommend it for the higher quality food
My kitties know this food is for them even before I open the bag. If I'm not ready to open the bag I need to make sure it's safely tucked inside a cabinet, otherwise they will chew holes in the bag to get to it! When I'm ready to open the bag they can hardly wait until they can have some! I like how it addresses fur balls and that the formula is light.
I have three cats, two have issues with hairballs and this has totally cured it. Good company and the food is always consistent. They still have hairballs but very rare due to this food. Price is fair too.
Love the Science diet food and the litter box system so much cleaner than the old litter box
Not one of my cats would touch this stuff, not even when I tried to SLOWLY introduce it to them. So I spent this ridiculous amount of money for nothing. VERY unhappy! I have never had a food before that they wouldn't touch.
I got the light version this time and while my cat loves it, she gets constipated or gobbles it down and then throws up. Going back to the regular version
We saw a veterinarian nutritionist for our grossly overweight cat. She recommended Hairball Control Light to decrease calories and help the cat feel full. Our cat liked it and she lost 6 lbs. over a period of time. We are keeping her on it for her maintenance diet.
Very. pleased with Chewy as always!
