Wonderful food that works!
Our white Dobie had NOTHING but tummy problems until we discovered Hills Science diet. Nothing we tried could get him doing his business like "normal". Our vet recommended their sensitive stomach formula and we have never looked back. Bring an albino, we have to be very careful with everything he gets, so finding his staple food was a HUGE load off our backs. He has been on it happily for the past 2 years with zero digestive concerns!
Worked perfectly until latest bag.
This food was initially purchased to help with our dog’s gastric reflux; his symptoms were able to disappear during the few month duration we started this diet and everything was going well. However, the latest batch received seems to have a change of recipe as the pieces have a different color and shape. As a result our pup has been uncomfortable with increased skin irritation and constipation. The original recipe was perfect— we’re now going to have to change foods once again so I can’t recommend trying this particular formula.
Finley will NOT eat
My miniature schnauzer, Finley, will not touch this food unless I add boiled or baked chicken. Even then, he moves through the bowl for just the chicken. He’s been on science diet since I bought him at 8 wks old and he’s now 6.5 years old. He’s my 3rd schnauzer and they do tend to have a sensitive tummy and sensitive skin, so I thought/hoped this may help. Honestly, he’s lost weight and barely eats and I feel as if I’m starving him. I’m only speaking on my fur baby, so every pup/dog is different, but I won’t ever be buying this type of science diet again. Science diet has been wonderful for him, just not this exact type and he’s not a picky eater.
Caused an allergic reaction
I have a lab and I started feeding him this. It instantly made everything worse for him. He developed an ear infection and formed a hot spot on his face that hasn’t gone away in nearly 2 weeks. Maybe it wasn’t the food that caused any of this but it was strange that just two weeks after I changed his diet to this, his problems started appearing.

My 8 year old Staffordshire Terrier and my 4 year old terrier used to eat Blue Buffalo grain free but we noticed that they are slow to move, sluggish, don’t want to eat their food unless I put a topper with it, and they do not have enough energy. I switched to this dog food Hill Science and my 8 year old’s energy is back and she is like a puppy with all that energy!! My 4 year old is the same way! I will not be switching to another dog food again. Also, my dogs have been eating this food for about a year now and they eat this without a food topper.
Stomach problems be gone!
Since we started our white lab and mixed breed German Shepard on this food they have been regular and solid. We mix in our own house made blend of chicken, rice and veggies as well.
SCIENCEDIET
BLOSSOM is my new rescue Golden. She is really enjoying her food and I am happy with the way her fur looks. She is a blessing to me. I still miss Lady, but BLOSSOM is a precious companion.
