Soupy by the case
I bought a single serving box of this cat food at a local pet store to try. My cat liked it, an appropriately fishy smelling pate. However, when I ordered a case of it, the consistency was like soup. They had watered it down so much that my cat was begging for food by the end of the day. It makes me furious when companies dilute their product to sell for the the same weight and price as the original, but with less food in it. Extremely unhappy with The Honest Kitchen. I don't call this honest at all.
My older cat and kitten are both in love!
My cats are in love with this gravy! It’s delicious, nutritious and seem to be very tasty for my kitties. I almost don’t want to leave this review so other people don’t make this product run out of stock!
Honest Kitchen for seniors
According to the HK website, this is the only formulation for seniors. My 12yo kitty loves it! Still introducing it, and splitting with her Halo indoor dry food. No tummy issues or unpleasant surprises.
my cat likes it
this food has very healthy ingredients. NO ingredients are sourced from china, so I feel safe feeding it to my kitty. it has adequate moisture. it's not too high in phosphorous. the cate pate version of this flavor is much higher in phosphorous so I chose the minced. he has few teeth, so because it has tiny chunks I add a little water to the food & grind it in a mini food processor then it's like a pate. I was afraid he might not like it but he gobbled it down.
Cat Loves it!
My cat likes all of the Honest Kitchen minced flavors, but this one is her favorite, and it doesn't upset her sensitive tummy. Great quality food & great ingredients. Highly recommended!
A hit with the cats....
I have cats that have become more finicky in their senior years, but this flavor has been accepted by them. I've tried other flavors of this brand, and it's been hit or miss with them being willing to eat it. But this flavor seems to be a fan favorite.

Cat licks the bowl
I fed my orange tabby The Honest Kitchen’s dehydrated chicken food for the past year. I recently switched to this product after sourcing and price changes made the dehydrated food harder to get. My cat loves this new food! Keep in mind that he is not a picky eater, whatsoever, but the fact that he now licks the bowl clean assures me that he approves of the change too. Plus I love that he’s not getting weird meat byproducts and unnecessary ingredients. Just FYI: this food smells veryyy strongly of fish, so if that bother you, consider their other varieties.
something of a disappointment
This food is the stinkiest wet cat food, AND it kinda resembles barf : yet, my cats LOVED it!! The serving size is too big for one cat, so keep that in mind - if you need to save any, put it in an airtight container. I recommend you rinse out that waxed box container fully before disposing, the "scent" carries for days in a garbage can!!
Yummy food with gravy
My Boys are very picky about the flavor and consistency of the canned foods they will eat. I must have tried 2 dozen different canned wet food on them their first months with me. Recently I've had so much trouble getting the food they liked (shipped from New Zealand), that I decided to search for a quality ingredients wet food made in the USA. The Honest Kitchen products are just that - quality ingredients and USA made. This food is chunky soft 'meat' almost like ground beef crumbles with tons of gravy just as My Boys love their food. They had no digestive issues changing over to this food. I plan to try other flavors on my kitties in the future as well, but mostly they do only eat fish flavors. I like the packaging over cans, but am uncertain if the packaging is recyclable locally.
