Does this come with instructions on how to train your dog to use it?

Answer by ChewyAug 29, 2023
This doorbell includes informative step-by-step guides.

Can this be used outside for pets to be let in or is it better for indoor use only?

Answer by ChewyOct 23, 2025
This product is not waterproof, so it would need to be sheltered if used outside. The button allows the dog to signal with a word that they would like to be let inside, but does not cause the door to open.

Doesn't work well with multiple dogs

We have six dogs, ranging in age from (at the time), six months to ten years. The older dogs already knew how to ask to go out, but the 3-year-old Shepherd/Pitty mix got too excited to hear my voice, so she would repeatedly hit the button just to hear me. It made it confusing for the puppies it was intended for.

Record quality sucks

It's not loud enough to record quality. It just sucks. No matter how many times I try, it just sounds really bad. And you can't put it on the wall. It has to stay

Didn’t work for us

although this product came in good condition and was really good it didn’t work for us like that. Our dog prefers just scratching on the door so we just left it

although this product came in good condition and was really good it didn’t work for us like that. Our dog prefers just scratching on the door so we just left it like that and didn’t really keep up with using the bell. And she would try and take it off using her teeth and playing with it from the wall.

Too much resistance for smaller dogs to press

2 pound puppy and 8 pound senior are able to use other buttons but not this one. They try to press down but don’t have the strength to push it all the way for it

Not for my dog but it has held up

The button has held up, and batteries have lasted. You can record a message or have it ring. It was fun to try to train him on, even though he can't seem to figure
