Every dog plays differently and, since not all toys are created equal, it’s always best to keep a close watch on your pup in case things get ruff. Supervised play will help toys last longer and most importantly keep your pal safe. No dog toy is truly indestructible, so always remove the toy from playtime if pieces begin to break off.
Hand wash and hang to dry.

A roomate of mine had this toy for her dog, and my dog was obsessed and always stole it. Once we moved away, I had to buy another one! She still loves it just as much as she first did. She is a Great Pyrenees mix, and she doesn't play with too many toys. This is a winner for her. The only thing I would caution is that it is heavy and may go flying if your dog likes to shake toys around in their mouth. Great toy though! Tip: You have to untwist the ball and press the lever to replace the batteries under the cover.
My usually playful 12 lb chihuahua gave it something between a disgusted and terrified look, then backed away. Obviously, this is not the right toy for her. It took me a little bit to figure out how it works, and frankly I don't blame her. It's too big, spastic as it quivers, and coarse textured. Not at all like the soft toys she religiously enjoys. Then I realized I will also be annoyed when it comes to figuring out if I can even replace the batteries. The design is not readily ergonomic. I'm not waiting to find out. Returning it!
Perhaps other dogs enjoy the sound of dog toys that bark and whine like a distressed animal, but my dog does not. He started stress panting as soon as we turned this on, and then fled to another room of the house with his tail down. We tried it several times, atetempting to show him that it was safe, and soemthing to play with, but he wanted nothing to do with it.
She loved this toy...I would be thrilled to find a version that would hold up! It definitely kept her entertained. But by the second play session, she had chomped hard enough to break the plastic movement ball inside. Please make larger versions of these toys for large breeds so they can't fit the ball part in their mouth and chomp down!
11 months German shepherd who's not really 'a destroyer'. Got a couple of uses out of it before the ball broke. The automated movement never really even triggered like I thought. Once the ball broke I filled the shell with two tennis balls which she seemed to love more.
My dog went crazy for this toy for about 20 minutes. Now she won't touch it. I am very sad because I was hoping to find something that she would love. I think the quality is good but my golden got bored with it fast.
This toy is amazing for super active puppies. We purchased it for our Aussie pup when she was 3 months old and it's gotten tons of use (she's 7 months now). The nice thing is that she doesn't need us around all the time to play with it and she doesn't bark at it. It's really durable too. I had to order another one, but that's only because we threw it too much and it's not really meant to be thrown.
I left this toy with my dog and within an hour he had removed the inner ball which was only held inside the plush by a thin line of Velcro. Had chewed through the plastic and destroyed the on/off button. Within an hour this almost $20 toy was useless. If your gonna make an interactive toy, at least make it a lot harder to break into.
Not every toy is good for every fur-baby. If it makes you or your baby sad, try something else. My 131# Dane loved it but broke it in a couple minutes. I took it apart and fixed it for another few minutes of fun. It's a hard plastic ball with two halves that lock together. Part of a tab broke. The on/off button seems a bit susceptible, too. I'd waste another one just to see him have that much fun for a couple minutes. He had one a year ago the he and his foster girlfriend destroyed. As soon as my wife turned it on and he heard the noise, he was jumping up and trying to take it from her. He's usually quite lazy. I'd gladly pay more for one that could outlast him. With a smaller dog, it may be perfect. It's really cool. I would still recommend it.
My dog won't play with any of his other toys now. He loves this. The only downside is that he keeps biting the on/off switch, but that is minor. As others have noted, if your dog is one that likes to tear toys apart, I wouldn't recommend this toy, but otherwise, it is worth the money. I've only had it for 4 days so we'll see about the longevity. Seeing how favorably my dog reacts to this and the fun he has, I have purchased two more for my neighbor's dogs for Xmas gifts.
