This toy is intended for the games of fetch and it is not a chew toy. Not recommended for aggressive chewers. Every dog plays differently and, since not all toys are created equal, it’s always best to keep a close watch on your pup in case things get ruff. Supervised play will help toys last longer and most importantly keep your pal safe. No dog toy is truly indestructible, so always remove the toy from playtime if pieces begin to break off.
Hand wash with warm soap and water only.
Arthur is a 2 year old English Springer Spaniel, and he loves chasing flying discs, but he had a hard time catching them. These Hyper Pet discs are perfect; they fly and hover nicely, they are soft and very easy for him to catch, and they also float, so we can use them in the pool. They seem pretty sturdy, too, although they aren't meant to be chew toys. He really enjoys playing with them - they are Arthur Approved!
For reference, these are the same pink frisbee side by side. The faded one is easily 6 years old. It’s survived two labs and a puppy who loves to chew everything. If you have a fetch loving pup these are great.
I have a 6 month Australian Shepherd who loves to run and run fast. She also likes to chew. The frisbee was a great when we got to open spaces where she could chases them, practice fetch. That was until she chewed through the binding that encases the rim of the frisbee. Then the chewing began. It was in the trash less than a week after I purchased. If you have a chewer, I'd stay away.
This is a well-made flyer. My dog and I have played with it for weeks and it hasn't caused any tear, hole, or rip yet even though he prefers to bite it to pick it up by the middle :( rather than the rim. I am surprised and pleased that his sharp teeth haven't poked through the material yet. The flyer travels well although it does not fly as far as I had expected. This may be my inability to throw it well. I love the assortment of bright colors. I would recommend this Hyper Pet for the great material it is made with and good construction. Try it, I don't think you will be disappointed.
OK so my dog stole this from another dog at the park and would not give it up for love or money. After finally getting it away from him, I threw it out to teach him a lesson. I gave him a month to think over his actions, and then I purchased this one for him. He is absolutely obsessed with it. He is a small-ish dog, so the nylon makes it much easier for him to get a good grip--for better or worse!
Playing tops & catch with my dog go 5 minutes. He did this while carrying the disc back to me. Completely supervised. Total waste of money!! His Nerf floppy disc lasted about 4 months - will go back to Nerf brand.
This disc is lightweight but durable. My Wheaten Terrier is a wonder dog chasing this colorful toy without damaging it.
Have had 2 for over a year and they are awesome. My Boston has used for tug toy so much I feared it would not fly well but NO! The edges are flexible and you just reshape a bit and it still flies straight and high. What I love is because it’s light weight it will hover and easily caught by my Boston. Best on a day that isn’t gusty winds, then we use a heavier kong frisbee. Get this!!
My 18 month rescue lab/terrier mix is hyper indeed with this toy. She literally jumps up and down for joy, and will retrieve until I make her stop. The neighbor kids were playing frisbee and she jumped up and caught theirs mid-air. Of course they want to play with her all the time now! They only downside is she flops down on the ground on the other side of the yard when she's tired and chews on the rim before I get to her. Eventually, she destroys it, but honestly this toy costs pennies per hour of enjoyment we both receive, and I just buy more!
This frisbee was an absolute hit when we took it to the dog park. Several dogs were so interested in it that they started playing tug of war with it! Luckily the durable fabric survived all of the tugging. It's easy to throw and has survived the beach and dog parks.
