Can this grass be grown outdoors (in a garden)? Will it survive in zone 4?
Answer by ChewyJun 29, 2018
This grass is intended to be grown indoors with low lighting.

my cat loves this. can a cat eat too much grass?
Answer by ChewyAug 03, 2021
Cats love the fresh greens, they aid in digestion and help manage hairballs. A fresh supply is recommended so cats can graze at will and when needed. Over consumption generally is not a problem. However, it is important to monitor your cat and it’s eating habits. If you notice a change in your cat’s eating habits, there could be an underlying issue and it is recommended to seek the care of a veterinarian.

How many seeds should be put in at a time?
Answer by ChewyAug 07, 2019
The amount of seeds to use will vary based on the size of container being used and personal preference.

Can my dog, rat, and mice enjoy this too?

Don't know what the problem is but these took over a week to sprout and then it was less than expected. Maybe the seeds were bad but this product did not perform as expected.

Imperial cat grass seeds.

Plant these for my cat buddies. They love it and it keeps them from running out the door to get a bite of grass from the front yard.

Cat grasses

Packaging makes it easy to reopen and close. The product does all the work once you apply to soil and Sun.

Awesome stuff!

Cats love this one and it's a lot cheaper than another brand I tried from Chewy too! Will be getting more of this one.

Nothing grew

I tried growing these on 3 separate occasions and got excited when green popped up, only for it to be weeds. The seeds never even began to grow roots.

grows quickly but cats don't prefer

I have greens available for the 3 felines and have tried several brands of seed combo. This one is all oat and sprouts very quickly. It makes very green sturdy grass and looks tasty, but the cats don't select it over weeds in the garden. I have it growing in several areas of the garden where they hang out. I'm thinking that oat greens might not be their choice and they prefer wheat greens instead.

Passed the test

I did a study on these seeds. I used 3 one gallon buckets, put in couple inches of miracle grow indoor potting soil, sprinkled a layer of seeds, put another couple inches of soil then watered so the entire top was wet, on all 3 buckets. One went outside on porch, one in very warm hallway and the third in the conditioned living room. Within 2 days hallway started to grow, next day living room. They were both at least 3-4 inches within 5 days so I watered again. They are both 6 inches tall 2 weeks later. The one on the porch did nothing until I put it in hallway 5 days later and then it grew just like the others. Moral of the story... Must be grown indoors (preferably with good soil). It's worth it!! My cats are very happy.

Cats love it

These seeds are easy to grow and they grow fast. My three cats love this grass. If they see me walking with the sprouted pot, they come running and meowing. I have to bring it out under supervision though, because one of my cats attacks it like a shark. She doesn't just nibble the ends, she sticks her whole head in it and chews from the roots.
