Works as advertised! Happy cat!!!!!!
The design is working as advertised -- my cat has not tipped, dumped, or spilled the grass or planter. Nor has he been able to dig in this planter. The grass is growing splendidly. The cat is munching happily.

He seems to be enjoying it, will be interesting to see how it holds up overtime, another review said to watch out for mold (overwatering) etc.

Beware of mold
This product worked well for me for about a month and then I realized the grass was dying and the planter had grown tons of mold. I don’t know how others prevent this but I had to throw the whole thing away. Too bad, as my cats loved the grass before the mold!
Great cat grass!
I’ve recently tried several different brands Of cat grass and this one is the best. I like the large container and the grass grows tall. My 3 cats all love it!
Cat Grass Gone Wild
Follow the directions for planting and this planter is "cat grass gone wild". Within just 3 days our kittens (8 mos) were chewing on this wonderful supplement. It is still going strong after 4 days. I keep it in the house under a side table lamp and the kittens will jump up, have a few munchies and off they go. Love this. I also got several refills for it and I'm glad I did at the rate my kittens are loving this.
I usually wait to review, but...
I generally go back and review products I order because I rely so heavily on reviews to make my purchases, and usually I wait until I have all of the relevant information before doing so. But I ordered this and it was at my door less than 24 hours later. Maybe this is the standard with Chewy, but I haven't received a package on time to this address since I moved into this place and I am just overwhelmed by how impressed I was with the turnaround on this, even knowing I'm practically next door to a fulfillment center. The product itself obviously hasn't had time to actually grow anything, but it was absurdly easy to get it started and the materials all appear to be of a high quality. The non-slip mat that goes around the container has already proven itself when my monsters were performing their initial inspection; not so much as a wiggle despite our little wrecking ball's best efforts to the contrary. I will say that I read the reviews that stated the grass pushes the lid up as it grows, so I just took an awl and poked a couple holes in the exterior rim and the cover and added some twist ties. It doesn't appear to impact any of it, everything still fits together nicely, so I suspect it should work fine when the opportunity to prove itself arises. Honestly, unless NONE of the grass grows through the grid at the top, I'd have to assume this product will remain a 5-star product, but I will certainly update if something catches me by surprise.
Great once you find the right directions
The instructions included in this aren't correct or helpful at all. The website itself lists entirely different instructions and you're meant to soak the seeds in water first until they sprout before transferring them to the planter. I used potting soil instead of the included stuff and the cat grass has grown well. My cat Oliver is the only one of three who's responded to it so far but that still makes it a hit! The planter fits great with the super circuit toy as well.
Not a good product
It came but no instructions except for a tiny picture on the box no explanation. So I tried to figure it out but it’s been over a week and no signs of growth or anything. Just don’t want others to experience the same disappointment
Read the Directions Online!
The picture directions on the box are so vague. I mixed the seeds in the vermiculite and added water as shown in the pictures, then doubted myself and got on Catit’s website. They say to soak the seeds overnight, put them between damp paper towels until they sprout and then sprinkle on top of the soil. This is so poor. They should have provided written directions in the kit.
