Description

When the grass in your planter is gobbled up or wilted, re-plant those wholesome greens with Organic Pet Grass Seed from The Cat Ladies. Within 4-5 days, you can have fresh, hearty greens—all you need is healthy soil and a planter! Like humans, pets of all species instinctively crave healthy doses of the vitamins and minerals found in vegetables. That's why you might spot your pet chewing grass in your lawn—or even munching on your house plants. Trouble is, those are often treated with chemicals and can be toxic to animals. With a proprietary blend of wheat, oats, rye, barley and flax, this bed of greens will be safe for your pal to snack on. And don't let these ladies fool you! They don't package these seeds exclusively for their feline friends. Dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs and reptiles can enjoy munching on the fruit—or the grass—of your labor! It's a healthy treat made by pet lovers, for pet lovers.

Key Benefits
  • All you need is healthy soil and a planter—so simple, you can create a family activity and teach your kids or grandkids how plants grow!
  • Proprietary blend contains vitamins A, B, C, E and K, along with calcium, chlorophyll, iron and more to give your pal's health a boost.
  • Grass contains folic acid, which helps your pet's body produce hemoglobin—a protein that moves oxygen through the blood.
  • Safe for many common pet species, such as cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, and reptiles like turtles and iguanas.
  • Simple to grow, even for those without a green thumb, and sprouts within 4-5 days.

Organic Wheat Seed.

Feeding Instructions

Feed to your pet as a healthy reward or snack. Adjust the serving size according to the size of your pet. If your pet is hesitant to eat the grass from the planter, you can try cutting some pieces up and putting it with their food, or some pets even prefer to eat the bits from the floor. You can spritz the grass with water or hide a treat in the grass to encourage feeding.

Instructions

1) Add soil contents to planter

2) Add enough warm (not hot) water to fully moisten the soil (about 5 or 6 ounces)

3) After water absorbs, stir soil and allow to sit for about 10 minutes

4) Fluff soil and remove about 2-3 tbsp. soil and set aside.

5) Sprinkle seeds evenly over soil

6) Cover seeds with 1/8-inch soil and gently press soil over seeds

7) Place planter in a warm, semi dark area (just away from direct light, not in complete darkness as it may cause mold). NOTE: For faster results cover planter loosely with plastic wrap just until first sprouts appear (no longer than 1-2 days)

8) After sprouts appear or no more than two days, remove plastic wrap and move to a sunny location

9) Keep soil moist until grass reaches 3 inches. Check moisture daily. Once established: do not over water.

10) In about 4-7 days, once grass reaches about 4-5 inches it is ready to feed to your pet.

  • Grass sprouted right away!

I over-sowed this cat grass seed into an established pot of sad looking cat grass, and it took off and grew quickly to fill in the gaps. Great stuff!
