Our 10 year old Boxer boy loved this food! He was drooling as soon as he could smell it. The food is a good consistency, especially for his Boxer Dog teeth. The ingredients are wholesome. You can definitely see a difference in your dog's enthusiasm with this food! The packaging of one of the individual food packets did come cracked. However, it looks like Chewy packaged the food incredibly well (even utilizing dry ice), but the shipper had possibly had handled it a bit roughly. Would totally recommend!

Here’s a polished four-star review you can post on Chewy for Instinct Fresh Raw Meals for Dogs: --- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’ve been feeding my dog Instinct Fresh Raw Meals for a couple weeks now, and overall I’m really happy with it! The ingredients look clean and high-quality, and I love that it’s real, raw food you can actually see — not overly processed. My dog’s coat looks shinier and she seems more energetic, which tells me it’s working. The only reason I’m giving it four stars instead of five is that it’s a bit pricey compared to other options. Still, the freshness and quality are worth it if you want to feed your pup something truly nutritious.

I cant say enough good things about this food. This is my first time trying a fresh raw food for my two dogs. First it cam packaged perfectly. The foid was completely frozen in a box inside a cooler with dry ice packages. Onecit was defrosted my dogs went crazy for. The second i peeled open the package they went crazy. Another bonus is this food opens easily and slides out of the package with no mess. My pups cant got enough of it. They went from kibbles to this with no stomach issues and only a slightly softer stool.

This product came extremely well packaged, in heavy duty plastic servings, in a box, in another box with dry ice and insulation. It was frozen solid so no worry

This product came extremely well packaged, in heavy duty plastic servings, in a box, in another box with dry ice and insulation. It was frozen solid so no worry about spoilage. The first time I gave this to my dog, mixed with his current kibble diet, he ate around it and left the raw food in the bowl, which floored me. I’m not sure I handled the product well, however. The package seemed to seep, and he’s not in need of a whole serving at once. That pack sort of was wasted. The next time I defrosted a block for 24 hours, and put the whole hunk in his dish. I took half and put it in a food saving container. I put the other half in the microwave for 30 seconds and mashed it up good with his staple diet. This time it all went down, fast! He had no ill effects, and is eating it heartily if I make sure it SMELLS good. It is not stinky and I think heating it up moved the molecules enough to give him the clue it was ok to eat. I let my cats try a little. Same thing. Cold it is not appealing to them, but warmed up a little suddenly it’s great. If you are an on the go person you will have to slow down a bit and deal with the packaging and warming of the food, but it seems worth the effort. The food is quality, much better than any tinned product. But it’s a little bit of effort at meal time.

My dogs weren’t quite sure about it either, but once they tasted it, they seemed to like. It came frozen and I thought it in the fridge then I just put it in a bowl

My dogs weren’t quite sure about it either, but once they tasted it, they seemed to like. It came frozen and I thought it in the fridge then I just put it in a bowl and I use a spoon to kind of break it apart into bite-size pieces especially for the little dogs and it just reminds me of canned dog food, I would buy it again probably not the only source of food I would use, but they ate it up pretty good..

My picky dogs took to this fresh food right away. It comes frozen in blocks. Took at least a day for one packet to thaw completely in the fridge. Package has an easy open and adheres closed, although I still put it in a lidded container to keep it fresh. Each frozen block is at least 4, maybe 5, servings for my smaller (16lb) dogs. Only criticism is that I wish it was made with free-range chicken, as my understanding is that “cage-free” is a meaningless distinction that doesn’t guarantee that animals are not crowded into open, dark cages… I’m seeing this on allot of animal food lately and I find it misleading to consumers.

I actually cook my dog his own food often and when given the chance to try this I jumped on it. Great ingredients and apparently great flavor according to my pup. If you have a picky dog or one who has skin issues I’d highly recommend trying Instinct.

Gone Fast!

A package of 6 arrived frozen in dry ice. It takes a day for each package to thaw. For clarity, I split each package in half for my 100 pd 4 yr old German Shepherd

A package of 6 arrived frozen in dry ice. It takes a day for each package to thaw. For clarity, I split each package in half for my 100 pd 4 yr old German Shepherd and my 80 pd 12 yr old Lab. Opening the package is easy, with a simple corner pull. There is absolutely no odor, and when completely thawed, it is easy to break/mash up for them to eat. While I smelled nothing, they obviously did, and went straight to enjoying their treat! As a raw feeder for several years, the ingredients are common and practical. An excellent source of nutrition without the mess!

My dogs went crazy for this! It was hard to get a photo that wasnt blurry from their excitement. Lol. Its in easy to open oackages that dont take long to thaw so that was a huge plus. A little too pricey to exclusively feed 3 large dogs, but great to use as a meal topper or smear on a slow feeder.

I wish this product had resealable packaging for those like me how don't use it all in one feeding. I loved that I knew what every ingredient in this food! I would definitely buy again.
