It is not recommended to microwave Instinct FreshRaw Meals Grain-Free Grass-Fed Lamb Recipe Dog Food, as the benefit of feeding the raw food is that the protein is unchanged by heat and microwaving could affect the nutrients of the raw food.

This was my first experience feeding raw foods to my boys and it’s safe to say it will not be the last. The individual food packages store/stack nicely in the freezer, thaw quickly, are unchallenging to open, and the food is easy to portion out. It’s also made in the USA with responsibly sourced and clean ingredients, which is a huge bonus. No fillers or junk, just real meat and produce you can actually see. No weird textures or smells, at least not detectable to humans. My dogs could smell the difference though and went absolutely crazy for it. I used this as a mix-in with their normal dry kibble. They both ate it all and licked their bowls clean at each feeding…frenzy. It's safe to say they both really enjoyed it!

Quality Ingredients and Wagging Tails

I’ve never ordered fresh food products before because I worry about the quality during shipping, but this arrived perfectly packaged and still frozen solid. I thawed

I’ve never ordered fresh food products before because I worry about the quality during shipping, but this arrived perfectly packaged and still frozen solid. I thawed one package overnight in the fridge and served it the next morning as a topper. Right away I could see how full of fresh, wholesome ingredients it was — no corn, wheat, or soy. I have three dogs, including one who is extremely picky and usually needs coaxing to eat. To my surprise, she waited by her bowl and then gobbled it up without hesitation. Afterwards, she came to me wagging, kissing, and “smiling” like she was saying thank you. We’ll definitely keep using this as a topper for our girls!

When receiving this product, I was worried how it would be shipped since its raw food. However, the packaging was great with plenty of dry ice to keep everything frozen. When thawed, the food does not smell bad and my picky terrier LOVED it. I am very impressed with the ingredients but with the packets were resealable or had smaller package options for smaller dogs since the food is only recommended to stay in the fridge for up to 3 days after thawing.

My pets love this quality product! I love the grass fed lamb and non-gmo ingredients, as well as a great grind for all ages of dogs. The product comes quickly and packed well to tolerate the Arizona heat, We have been raw for many years and have large and small dogs. Many raw manufacturers food is too course with chunks of bone. This product has been ideal for our 17 year old maltese with missing teeth. High Quality Product! Good job you.

I really had no idea what to expect from this Raw food. I honestly was a little unsure when I received the box. It came packed in dry ice and the product was totally frozen when it arrived, even on a hot day! I followed the directions and defrosted it in the refrigerator until it was completely defrosted. My dog, Princess is a picky eater, but I got the Lamb flavor. Let me state here, Ive never given her anything but beef or chicken so I was fingers crossed that she wouldn't look at me like I lost my mind when I handed her this bowl of food. But, I cut open the package and the aroma hit me... It was not at all what I was expecting, it smelled GOOD! Most dog food smell awful. This stuff smells amazing. It has actual chunks of meat and vegetables! The package is a bit deceiving, it is PACKED as full as full can be. I was able to give her 3 full bowl fulls from 1 package. I had a full on conversation with her as I was filling her bowl, telling her I had something for her to try and that I hoped she would like, because it was much better for her and would help her to be a healthy, happy girl. Of course she wagged her tail and smiled, (yep, she smiles) and I put the bowl down and she sniffed, looked at me and went to eating! Ms. Princess actually inhaled the food! Ive seen her eat up her dinner pretty quickly when she is hungry, but it was like she had a straw! That food was gone in seconds! I am extremely please with this food for my furball of love. She deserves only the best and I think we have found it.

My 4 year old herding mix loves this fresh food. The first time I got it out and opened a pack, she would not stop staring at me with the food. Every time I’ve put this in her bowl, the entire bowl has been licked completely clean within 5-10 minutes. I hate to say it, but one of the times I opened a pack of this food, I actually thought it smelled pretty tasty 😂. If you’re looking to start your pet on a fresh food diet I’d 100% recommend this.
