Where are the ingredients sourced? And specifically, is anything from China?

Answer by ChewyApr 07, 2019
Instinct by Nature's Variety sources the majority of their ingredients from the U.S. and turns to other locations only as needed. All of their poultry, pork, and fish come from the U.S. (salmon meal from the U.S./Canada/Chile). Their fish is fresh-caught from the Atlantic and Pacific. Their beef and lamb are from the U.S., venison is from the U.S. and New Zealand, and our rabbit is from France. The vegetables and fruits are from the U.S.and Europe. Their vitamins and minerals are from North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

How many cans are in 1 order?

Answer by ChewyAug 03, 2019
These 13.2 oz cans come in a case of 6.

Is this lamb canned food okay for cats to eat?

Answer by ChewyOct 25, 2018
This food isn't toxic for cats if consumed, but cannot be fed as a complete diet as it doesn't contain all the nutrients or appropriate levels of nutrients for cats.

Is this brand human grade canned food?

Answer by ChewyJun 28, 2021
Instinct recipes cannot be classified by the USDA's definition of human grade because Instinct facilities are used to produce pet food rather than human food. That being said, all of their ingredients come from USDA-inspected facilities (or meet USDA requirements in the case of imports) and are from animals that have passed ante and post-mortem inspection.

Dog loves this flavor

I use this wet food to mask the flavor of my dogs daily meds. Seems to be doing a great job, since he licks his bowl clean!

Very Juicy

My dogs are rather picky. I am always trying to find things they will willingly eat. I think this food is good, Roy liked it, but it didn't make the mark for Me

Suki’s food

Suki didn’t like the lamb recipe and refused to eat it. She acted like it was hard to swallow, I’m thinking it has too much fat content for her taste

Looks awful!

Tried the lamb because rabbit was out of stock. Looking like it is not agreeing well with my dog. Besides that it is terrible looking! Will have to find rabbit

Dogs new friend

My doodle was starting to get bored with food, so we changed from turkey rabbit to lamb and it was a big hit! He is eating again regularly

Too many peas, gave him diarrhea!

This food has peas and pea protein as the 4th and 5th ingredients, which is way too much. Thankfully, I only gave a little bit, because it gave my poor boy diarrhea

This food has peas and pea protein as the 4th and 5th ingredients, which is way too much. Thankfully, I only gave a little bit, because it gave my poor boy diarrhea and nausea. It clearly has too many peas in it for his system, because he eats lamb food from other brands, and has even had food with peas, but they were the 7th ingredient, not 4th AND 5th. Very disappointing, as it's hard to find foods he can eat and that he likes.
