1 ANIMAL PROTEIN

The ingredient list is purposefully simple for pets with food sensitivities. It focuses on one animal protein and one vegetable—versus the mix of each you'll find in most pet foods.

SIMPLE AND ESSENTIAL

Sometimes what's not included is just as important as what is. These recipes are made with grass-fed meat or cage-free poultry and always made without grain, dairy, eggs, potato, corn, wheat, soy or artificial ingredients.

Pure, real nutrition of raw on every piece

Pure, real nutrition of raw on every piece

They put the pure, real nutrition of raw on every piece of Instinct Limited Ingredient Diet by tumbling their kibble with crushed, freeze-dried raw—raising the bar in nutrition and taste.

The Pure, Real Nutrition of Raw Is In Everything Instinct Does

Instinct's Responsibility as The Raw Brand

LEAD WITH RAW

It all started with Instinct's raw pet food. Since the beginning, they've led with raw because they know the good it can do. They're rewriting the rules of pet food and championing raw nutrition to bring its superior benefits to all that they do.

KEEP IT REAL

Delicious and nutritious pet food should only use real ingredients. For Instinct, this means all-natural, real meat, fruits and vegetables, with nothing artificial.

MAKE IT SIMPLE

Feeding raw should be simple, and it should easily fit into your everyday routine. Instinct believes raw should be accessible to pet parents so every pet can experience the benefits of raw nutrition.

DO IT TOGETHER

Instinct believes in the power of raw nutrition. It only makes sense to share it. Together with local shelters and volunteer efforts nationwide we’re on a mission to transform the lives of all pets.

MAKE IT BETTER

Instinct has never been afraid to challenge the status quo of pet nutrition. They continuously redefine what better means—always pushing their standards of nutrition to raise the bar in pet food.

Pure, real nutrition of raw on every piece

About Instinct

Instinct believes deeply that it's up to them to find a way to make it possible for more people to feed their pets the pure, real nutrition that only comes from raw. They know that if they can get the nutrition of raw into more bowls, they'll transform the lives of more pets. And that's really why they do what they do.

    Great food

My one year old Pomeranian has a very sensitive stomach. She transitioned onto this limited ingredient lamb diet seamlessly. She love it too! I can’t wait for her to try other limited ingredient Instinct varieties. I highly recommend this food.

    EXPENSIVE WET SLURRY

    By on

I've been feeding Instinct LIMITED INGREDIENT for over two years. Quality has regularly gotten worse. I need to report that the company is overfilling the cans with water. The latest batch I received was so soupy that it could be poured without even using a spoon. (This is also has been an ongoing problem with Instinct Chicken flavor wet food which I had to discontinue). Combine the poor quality with a price tag of nearly $5.00 PER CAN makes this product an unhealthy expensive choice for my dogs. I advise against wasting your money.

This wet food is far too expensive!

Lamb is not that exotic. Why is this Instinct canned food so expensive? Chewy is a great business and doesn’t set prices. This ripoff is on Instinct.

    Makes Jasper Dance

    By on

This is a new food for my dog, Jasper. He is a fussy eater and also has a sensitive stomach. When he sees me take a can of Instinct from the pantry he twirls and dances in excitement. I mix in some Instinct kibble and he licks his bowl clean.

I really don't like this product but I think I ordered it in error. I wanted it as a topper for kibble but I prefer a stew for a topper

Works well for my sensitive stomach dog

    By on

My dog, Boomer, has some serious tummy issues. We were using a "name brand" and vet-recommended food, but Boomer was experiencing allergies to some of the ingredients. After doing a bit of research, we switched to Instinct. Boomer's been going on 4 weeks with this food, and no issues to report. Too, the food has a great texture that nicely fills his Kong toy!

    Allergy Relief

This food is definitely helping my Terrier with his allergies for the 1st time in over 5 yrs. We have tried prescriptions, shampoos, every option available. He would chew the hair off his feet and legs. Then he had mast cell. That’s when I started looking at his diet and at wet dog food that had better ingredients. I was totally uninformed that meat byproduct was everything that was cut off the animal including cancers and tumors. And this is in almost every dog food. I was feeding my dog this!! I researched many brands and started reading reviews on this food. Very limited ingredients and my dog loves it. What a miracle. He even doesn’t seem as lethargic anymore! This dog food is expensive but it’s worth the peace and I’m sure it’s less expensive than all the vets visits. If you have an allergic dog PLEASE try this. … more

    used to be really good

    By on

Every since they changed the labeling on this food it is not the same. It is watery and mushy and my dog doesn't digest it well anymore. I am so discussed with dog food, every time something is good they mess with it!!!
