About Instinct Freeze-Dried Raw Meals for Cats

Complete & Balanced Raw Meals

Instinct Freeze-Dried Raw meals are minimally processed and never cooked, preserving the integrity of their ingredients and nutrients for 100% complete and balanced nutrition. Available in a variety of proteins, these freeze-dried raw meals feature 3x more real meat and nutrient-rich organs than Instinct Original kibble, for more flavor and animal protein in every bite.

All The Benefits of Raw Nutrition

Instinct Freeze-Dried Raw Meals are made with real, natural ingredients and never cooked, to retain the raw ingredients’ natural flavors, valuable antioxidants, amino acids, vitamins, and minerals. The result is a more nutritious, healthy food that is shelf stable and convenient—simply scoop and serve like kibble or add water for extra moisture.

Minimally Processed and Never Cooked

Eating a diet rich in minimally processed foods is just as good for our pets as it is for us. Made with responsibly sourced meat and non-GMO fruits and vegetables, Instinct raw recipes are minimally processed—and never cooked—to keep their nutrients intact. Less processed food allows better digestion and nutrient absorption, so your furry friend gets more nutrients in every bite.

The Raw Difference

Unlike traditional, cooked pet foods, raw pet food retains more important antioxidants, amino acids, vitamins, and minerals that are key to helping your pet live a healthier life. Common changes noticed by pet parents who feed raw include better digestion, improved skin and coat, improved weight, relief from food sensitivities, and increased energy and vitality. Feeding as little as 20% raw as part of your pet’s diet can have a positive impact on your pet’s life.

There is really not much to say because it is food, and I have no idea if my cat likes it or not, but at least she eats it. To those people that use automatic food dispensers, just a warning: the food itself might not get dispensed because of its size. For example, my dispenser had a small hole, and as a result of that, the food didn't go through. I can still just pour the food into a cat bowl, though.

Cats won't touch it

My cat won't eat this stuff so I passed it along to a friend that cares for an outdoor cat and even he won't touch this stuff. Vet recommended this particular brand

It’s raw and can carry bird flu

There’s no way you can guarantee unless I rehydrate and cook it to at least 165’ my cat vet told me not to feed it. Huge waste of money. Shouldn’t be selling it

Healthy

I can feel good about feeding this to my cat. It’s healthy and packed with protein. It’s been part of her weight loss plan and she loves it.

Love lost

I bought this for Blue and Bell but neither of them seemed to like it. I even put warm water in it because I thought they didn’t like it being cold.

Tried this because I can't get the frozen raw chicken and thought they might like the fish. Was terribly wrong! Wouldn't eat it so I soaked in warm water. They ate a few pieces and then threw it up, plus kept heaving. It took 2 days for them to start eating their regular food.

CAT LIKED IT

I have an elderly (20+) cat who has digestive issues. This food did not cause him to have diarrhea like some other foods have, so I consider it a win. He liked

Cats love them as treats

Expensive, but great as treats so they last longer.
